A first class dinner in a place devoid of eating options. We had breakfast at Grannie's prior to going on a manatee tour with Fun 2 Dive. Great location for that as the marina where most tours start is minutes away. The breakfast was wonderful full of just about any "classic" that you would desire. Coffee was strong and the food was tasty. Nice fluffy pancakes, eggs just the way you wanted, fantastic omelettes, and most important real southern homefries and grits.

You cannot go wrong with this place. Also if you are vegetarian there are many options for you on this menu (as long as you eat eggs) and that is truly a rare find anywhere in Homosassa or Crystal River.

I grew up in Crystal River, but I have lived in North Carolina for the last 20 years. Every summer or so i go back to Crystal River to visit familly. My daughter and I always hit Grannys on the first day or two that we get there. It really never seems to change. I love the big portions of grits and toast and they have some of the best tea of anywhere in town.

During a Little League State Tournament in Crystal River, Florida. We stumbled upon Grannie's reataurant on US-19. Wonderful breakfast and other homecooked meals. The staff are great, very welcoming, just like going to your own Grannie's!!
