“Refreshing Great Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

Stumbled upon this in the rain one morning, how lucky for us. Charming staff, cozy atmosphere and homemade, delicious baked goods. Went every morning for lattes and warm scones. Would be dangerous if we lived near by.

“A nice place to luncheon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

A nice quiet place to luncheon. The menu is very small but the food is wonderful. I took my step daughter there for her birthday. Being scottish she wanted to try it. We had a very nice time. This is a very quiet place with some very nice menu items tho the menu is very small. The food, for the day we were there, didn't have any scottish favourites. We were a tad disappointed. But the food we did order was delicious. again, this is not a place for people with tiny children.

“Breakfast in Crystal River”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

Had a very tasty egg, bacon and cheese english muffin for breakfast and a steaming hot coffee while in town.

Great spot for breakfast and lunch (been here for lunch on a previous trip to town)!

Friendly small town service, good food at an reasonable price.

“Nice lunch place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

We stopped for lunch after a manatee tour before heading out of town. We had very good fresh sandwiches and salads. It's a little pricier than lunch at a fast food place, but it's much higher quality. Lunch seemed to be generally in the $10 range. We would definitely go again if we're ever in Crystal River again.

“Great spot for lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

We stopped here for lunch after doing a kayaking tour. The cafe is run by a really friendly Scottish couple. I was very tempted by the quiche but finally went for the roast beef sandwich - which was delicious. It came with a salad that was unusual (for a Brit) as it had mandarin and pineapple. I liked it so much I said that I'd try and replicate it at home - but somehow it doesn't appeal now I am back in dark, cold, wet England. One other benefit of this place is that, since the couple are from the UK, they serve a lovely cup of tea. A sandwich and salad was enough for me for lunch so I didn't try the cakes. I did think that the strawberry sponge looked yummy though.
This is definitely a great stop if you are in the area.
