As a University of Miami alum, I spent many mornings eating a the Bagel Emporium! My most recent visit last weekend did not let me down. The food is always delicious, the portions are always way too big and the bagels are amazing!
There is usually a long wait, especially on Sundays, so get there early or be prepared to stand in line. The restaurant itself is not very large, but does offer a fast take-out counter as well.

An excellent start to the day with the standards being done well. Naturally, the bagels are superb, but the basics of eggs, bacon, grits, and something not always found is a setting like this ... fruit. You won't see many smiles on the faces of the servers, but they are all mostly efficient, not crisp, in their interaction with the guests.

This is a good place to grab a breakfast or stock up on bagels. Deli counter with small seating area. Full breakfast available, lunch also. In a strip mall across from the University Metrorail station and UM Campus. Good service, delicious fresh bagels and lots of cream cheese choices.

We stopped here for breakfast last week while in the area, and the Bagel Emporium had some good points, but also some bad points. The bagels themselves were excellent. I got the Garlic Bagel and contrary to most places, there was garlic on both sides of the bagel. I would definitely return for the bagels.

On the other hand, the scrambled eggs and potatoes were not that good - even after adding salt/pepper and a lot of Tabasco sauce. Just flavorless! Fortunately for them, the bagels were able to save the experience for me. My advice is to go for the bagels and skip the other food.
