Description: One of the few remaining Miami locales offering traditional English afternoon tea, the Biltmore is arguably the most elegant venue, with its soaring vaulted ceiling, magnificent lobby and majestically mantled fireplace. The refreshing repast is served daily and is complemented with and elegant harp weekdays and music of an accomplished classical guitarist on the weekends. During the holiday season guests can expect themed pastries.Reservations are recommended.

“La Fontana, a consistently superior restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

My wife and I have eaten at La Fontana, the Biltmore Hotel's courtyard restaurant, several times in the past three years. We've never failed to have a superior meal there, beautifully prepared and served with the utmost courtesy and consideration. The weekday breakfast buffet is also exceptionally good. (You should do the Sunday brunch buffet once in your life, but be forewarned that it's insanely lavish--if you go there on Sunday, you won't feel like eating on Monday.) Needless to say, the Palme d'Or, the hotel's "fancy" restaurant, is also wonderfully fine, but we'd just as soon eat at Fontana, truth to tell, and usually do.

“basic food for a ridiculous price”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

got hungry at night, and picked up some appetizers to go. Salad had NO dressing, and meat and cheese was just so-so. Cost $ 70.00 for a snack

“Wow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

After a morning at Vizcaya, we decided to lunch at the Fontana Mediterranean restaurant located on the ground floor of the Biltmore Hotel. There was a definite 'wow' factor as the door opened onto a hacienda style courtyard, with large palm trees, plants and a beautiful central fountain.
The waitress, Hilda, was friendly, efficient and made good recommendations. We asked for a family photo after our meal and she posed us in front of the fountain for a lovely photograph. A real character, who contributed to our memorable lunch.
The food was excellent, from the breadbasket with four different types of bread, each nicer than the last, to the Burrata salad (Caprese),which consisted of the best mozzarella I've ever had the pleasure of eating, creamy and textured, along with juicy tomatoes and roast peppers to the freshly made pasta, followed by a proper expresso macchiato and accompanied by perfectly chilled white wine and Panna water.
Food heaven.

“Food and service are great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

The food was very plentiful, well prepared, artfully served, but, it is expensive. Expect it if you eat there.

“Luxury with misery”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

The historic building is beautiful
The restaurants are overrated
The food is a arête at best,
The staff look like they are on training
(Some are lost, some are rude, some they don't remember what they told you a minute ago)
Not even close to any five stars hotel that I experienced before in Miami or south beach
Third world experience at best
Needs new management , pay staff more or teach them ABC of hotel business
