All of my husband's family and friends live in Miami and each time we travel from VA to Miami we eat at Havana Harry's. During our past trip we were crushed to find out the previous owner's had sold, but figured we'd give it a try nonetheless.
We dined with a group of 6 friends (total of 8 people). We were seated quickly but left unattended for several minutes. When our server did finally approach our table, he quickly took our drink orders and was not seen again for several minutes. No water was brought to our table, and we joked we'd have to get it ourselves and that the meal had no where to go but up.
When our meal arrived, our close friends meal of whitefish was uncooked through the center. The waiter agreed to take it back and make it right and when he arrived with the new dish- we all realized it was the old dish "nuked". This was fish, mind you. We asked to speak to the manager and were told there was no one there, but an "acting" manager (this was an untruth, as we knew the new manager was in the bar area). The acting manager said they had done all they could to make it right and that was the end of it. We had to pay for the entire meal, with not so much as an apology.
Between the 8 of us and our families/friends, Havana Harry's has lost a great deal of business. A new piece of fish would have made the meal right, and saved us all the disappointment of the new management's incompetancy.
Bottom line: Your money is better spent elsewhere for an authentic cuban meal, Casa Lario's for example.
