Had dinner there last night expecting an amazing Peruvian culinary experience, I was very, very disappointed. The Lomo Saltado was average and the seafood entrees (Oriental Salmon and Rice with Seafood) of the other three guests were the same. We had the "Torta de Nueces" and the Lucuma Mouse as dessert. The Torta was very good, but the mouse was very grainy, almost felt as though you were eating cold grits. Also for the price, this was completely not worth it. I travel to Lima very frequently and recently moved to Miami from New York. La Cofraida, which is another Peruvian restaurant in Miami (also in Coral Gables) is incredibly better for the price. The other thing is that I'm not sure if this "Francesco" is related to the original Francesco in Lima - I seriously doubt it. Hopefully, La Mar (the best Peruvian restaurant in the world) will continue its plans to open a South Florida location in 2013. In short, the best thing about Francesco is the music (a cello player) and not the food - I wouldn't go there again.
