Description: Romeo's Cafe is an intimate and elegantly appointed restaurant in which a maximum of 52 guests are treated to a unique and exceptional dining experience from the minute they enter the room. While there is no set menu, chef and host Romeo Majano has prepared Northern Italian influenced dishes tailored to the tastes of his guests since 1998. Each diner is asked about his or her individual food preferences, tastes and dietary restrictions. Based on their answers, (and Romeo's imagination), a series of 6 gourmet dishes (3 at lunch) are then prepared to order and presented by an award-winning professional service staff. Complemented by a wine list that features predominantly Italian and American selections, the 2 1/2 hour dinner is one of the most enjoyable and gastronomically satisfying dining experiences to be found anywhere. Consistently rated among South Florida's top restaurants for food and service, Romeo's Cafe appeals to those who truly enjoy the art of fine dining.

“A Tiny Romantic Mecca of Fine Food”

Get over the expense and let the Chef cook for you anyway you want it. Delicious! A special, intimate place to celebrate an occasion or make up or propose.

“A rarity in South Florida. Very Fine Dining!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

A very special place. The chef/owner personally prepares your 6 course meal based on your preferences, and each course is wonderfully prepared and something you are not likely to find at other high end restaurants. It is a great special occasion restaurant for a relaxed, 2 to 3 hour meal that will be long remembered. A great wine list and attentive, but not overbearing waitstaff round out the experience.
It's expensive, but you can see where the money goes: into expensive ingredients and expert preparation.
It is small and intimate, with seating only for 30 or so , which makes it easy to hold a quiet conversation. It is nicely appointed, without being over the top.

“Hidden gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2011

When you arrive, Romeo will ask you what you don't eat. That's all he needs. Based on that he will bring you an excellent six course menu, very tasty food and a very comprehensive wine list. Impressive. Go there for the food and for the wine, the ambient is ok but you'll not even think about it. I not ony recommend but consider it a MUST GO.

“Wonderful dining experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2011

We enjoyed Romeo's. We went there for an early Valentine's celebration. The restaurant was crowded but our table was ready. The parking is not good. No valet. Street parking. The restaurant isn't exactly in Coral Gables either. Really on the edges of Miami down the road from the Gables. However, the owner Romeo is a wonderful host and owner. He greats you personally and the wait staff is very helpful. The restaurant is dark. They bring you a flashlight to read the wine menu. However, as others have said, Romeo speaks to you personally about the menu and your likes and dislikes and then serves a delicious six course dinner for $90 per person. Perhaps a little pricey but very enjoyable. The wine list is very good and the wine prices are very reasonable and appreciated. Basically Romeo makes 3-4 dishes for each course and serves them to his guests. Each course was delicious. We would recommend Romeo's for a very nice intimate dinner for two. There are a few tables of 4 or more but this wouldn't be the place I'd go with a crowd. At the end of the meal Romeo personally comes by to find out if you enjoyed your meal and to thank you. A very nice touch. I would certainly not hesitate to go back and I would strongly recommend it for an intimate dinner for two.
