“The Ghost of Ernie's Resurrected.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

When the venerable and honored Ernie's in San Francisco closed its doors, The loss was deeply felt by all who admired true elegant dining. Last night, friends took us to dinner, at Pascal on Ponce, and I am pleased to report that Ernie's is alive and well in Coral Gables, Florida! Although crowded and noisy, the dining experience was etherial in nature. The foie-gras was mouth-meltingly sublime, and I almost asked for a second plate! Our host had the cheese souffle, which he graciously let us sample, and I nearly regretted ordering the foie-gras. The choice of entrees was agonizingly difficult due to the savory descriptions in the menu. The tenderloin we chose was cooked to perfection, flavored by an angelic hand, and served by courteous and knowledgeable wait staff. The Grand Marnier souffle was awe-inspiring.

“Overpriced and Rude Staff”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

A table of 6 and we had a bit over a $600.00 bill! The food was seriously NOT worth it. Sirloin steak was TOUGH and the chocolate souffle had no flavor at all. I did like the cheese gnocchi. Had to beg for a coffee refill and the waitress was talking to other staff while service us. Very rude and unfriendly kind of snobbish. Very loud and not a good place to have a business conversation.

“Cheese souffle devine!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

One of the finest restaurants in the Gables. Lunch special is truly special in every way and the price is reasonable for fine dining!

“Best in Coral Gables”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

The food is imaginative sort of nouvelle French, it is not inexpensive, but worth it for good occasions. Nice decor with fresh flowers, cozy with nice lighting and right atmosphere.
The downside is the restroom which is male/female, but for us woman is very annoying to use a dirty and messy toilet, other that that everything is perfect I will happily revisit again!!!

“A must try!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012 via mobile

We went on a Fri night without reservations and were still treated like old friends. The cheese soufflé is one of the most amazing appetizers I have ever eaten- so light but packed with a ton of flavor. I don't eat dessert but tables all around us were sure enjoying the variety of dessert soufflés.
