Description: Elegance and romance prevails at Fontana, the Biltmore's lushly landscaped courtyard restaurant. With its center fountain and views of the Biltmore's Mediterranean architecture, Fontana offers a distinctly European charm and sophistication from sunrise until sunset. Chef Beppe Galazzi uses local and farm fresh organic ingredients throughout the menu. Those enjoying lunch and dinner will have the pleasure of exploring well-rounded regional Italian fare as Chef Beppe strives to offer "what cannot often be found in restaurants and what guests cannot cook at home." Early risers can enjoy a plentiful breakfast buffet or order traditional items a la carte. Buon appetito!

“Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

We enjoyed a superb dining experience in the beautiful sunny Courtyard of this iconic hotel. Eat here just to partake the surroundings.

The lunch fix prix menu delivers wonderful value without compromising the dining experience. The wine is not overpriced.

“Decent food, excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

The food was quite good at Fontana, though overpriced for what it was. What makes the place special is the ambiance and the service. The outdoor dining area is simply lovely, and our waitress was perfect--aways there at the right time, friendly, and exceptional. We'd go back if staying at the Biltmore, though perhaps wouldn't go out of our way with so many choices in the area.

“Worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013 via mobile

It's on the expensive side (as is almost everything at The Biltmore) but it is worth it. The food is good but the service is outstanding. The service staff is very well trained and it shows. If you get to sit outside on a mild evening, all the better. How can you not admire the beauty of this property?

“basic food for a ridiculous price”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

got hungry at night, and picked up some appetizers to go. Salad had NO dressing, and meat and cheese was just so-so. Cost $ 70.00 for a snack

“Wow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

After a morning at Vizcaya, we decided to lunch at the Fontana Mediterranean restaurant located on the ground floor of the Biltmore Hotel. There was a definite 'wow' factor as the door opened onto a hacienda style courtyard, with large palm trees, plants and a beautiful central fountain.
The waitress, Hilda, was friendly, efficient and made good recommendations. We asked for a family photo after our meal and she posed us in front of the fountain for a lovely photograph. A real character, who contributed to our memorable lunch.
The food was excellent, from the breadbasket with four different types of bread, each nicer than the last, to the Burrata salad (Caprese),which consisted of the best mozzarella I've ever had the pleasure of eating, creamy and textured, along with juicy tomatoes and roast peppers to the freshly made pasta, followed by a proper expresso macchiato and accompanied by perfectly chilled white wine and Panna water.
Food heaven.
