We've been members of this place for several years and will continue to be. This is one place that can make one feel happy and in peace when visiting, regardless the season or weather. Throughout the year the garden also host numerous events that plant lovers and whole families will enjoy. The only thing we don't like about is the new butterfly garden. The garden itself is beautiful. However, the volunteers "guarding" the gates are somehow ignorant and annoying. We understand those ladies are just tirelessly doing their jobs educating people not to let any exotic butterflies out by accident. However, the last time when we visited the butterfly garden, we had to wait behind 3 groups of people just to listen to the same old talk for the 5+ time and then when we've done visiting and trying to exit, there was no one at the Exit paid enough attention to our existence (yes, you cannot exit the facility by yourself, some volunteer has to press a button and let you out). We examined ourselves inside and out in front of the mirror to make sure there was no butterfly accidentally hanging on us. And right after that, a volunteer at the Exit finally saw us. But instead of letting us out, she asked us to turn around in front of the mirror again, which we followed. But right after that, another volunteer showed up from no where and demand us do the same ritual again.. We were literally irritated.. We never came back to the butterfly garden again.. As far as I know of, our other photography friends who are also members of Fairchild don't go into the butterfly garden either. There are so many much more in Fairchild to explore other than the butterfly garden.
