“Old Florida hotel with style”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

I have stayed at the Biltmore several times and again this week. It is located in a more residential area of Coral Gables with tempting leisure activities included, so it is better suited for leisure or corporate events than a straight and simple business overnighter. The facilities are expansive and beautiful but pretty dated. Same goes for the rooms. However the service and Old Florida feel make those work. It's just different than staying at a sleek new place on Brickell. The restaurant is first rate, and the exercise facilities, pool and golf are as good as standalone club. Overall a great hotel, particularly if you (or a companion) have time to enjoy the facilities.

While on our tour trip around Miami, the bus stopped by the Biltmore Hotel. We thought the hotel was so amazing, we came back to take more pictures the next day. The Hotel is known for having the largest hotel pool in the U.S. We spent the day there taking pictures, ate a wonderful Italian lunch, and just walked around. The Tiramisu I had for dessert was to die for! I would recommend to visit or stay at this hotel! A lot of history and the architect is gorgeous!

It’s our desire to ensure every guest experience is both exceptional and memorable. We appreciate your kind remarks about our Fontana Restaurant, which, together with the Palme d'Or, have received top Zagat ratings in South Florida for six years running.

I accompanied my partner on a business conference here November 2012. From the minute the trip was booked, the excitement had begun!

The hotel building is beautiful, and I was amazed at the history of the place. The room was amazing, very large with a lounge area, sleeping area with the comfiest bed ever and very luxurious bathroom. The view from the room was of the pool area and was absolutely stunning. I spent my days lounging round the pool whilst my partner was busy working. Even around the pool area the staff gave you their full attention, bringing towels, offering drinks, and complimentary mini sorbet cones.

We didn't eat in the hotel restaurants but we did have breakfast each morning in the courtyard. A really lovely selection from the buffet or there was a great choice a la carte.

One thing I would recommend is doing the Big Red Bus Tour of Miami, the bus picks up right opposite the hotel and its a great way of seeing areas that you wouldn't necessarily visit.
Can't fault the hotel at all, I would love to go back one day!

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view room

I can't say enough good things about the Biltmore, the food is award winning- original, and paired with their cellar club wines, it makes for a Heavenly experience! It has the best of Old World Beauty and New World Indulgence- the linens, the Spa- the poo!.... it doesn't get any better than this.

Room Tip: If you can, stay in the Al Capone Suite- or ask for a room with a balcony !

The Biltmore in Coral Gables will surpass your expectations with its grandeur and beauty. Situated in the stunning Coral Gables with its hundred year old trees and quaint street stones indicating your location, the Biltmore is even more beautiful than its surroundings. Its gigantic, with over 200 rooms, and the staff excel in hospitality. The lowest price rooms are still spacious and the bed will make you think you've stepped into the clouds. A personal favorite of mine was the bathub. While it was a normally sized bathtub/shower, the shower curtains were very luxurious and complemented the stone walls. I highly recommend paying a bit more to stay here. You will not regret it!

Most of my experience at the Biltmore was positive. The one, quite significant exception was the excessive noise of some party animals, who took over my floor from around 12:30-2-:30 AM. I was very surprised that management or security did not show up.
Otherwise, the hotel has some very nice restaurants, although I missed the French one, as it was closed Sunday and Monday, but the food and the atmosphere in the Italian restaurant was very pleasant. My room had a great view of the golf course that I really enjoyed. Good experience. My kid really enjoyed the huge pool.
