“Great stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

We were very happy with this hotel. The room was clean and a very comfortable king bed. We had a little balcony and a side view of the ocean. It's not right on the beach, but just a little walk down a path and you are on a really great beach. We ended up coming back a day after we left because the beach was so nice. They have a breakfast that was surprisingly good - normally we don't eat at any hotel complimentary breakfast, but there were omelets and bacon and oatmeal and fruit. We would recommend eating dinner on Merritt Island. There are several nice restaurants there. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice (we prefer the ocean). We would stay here again. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

“Good Value for Business travel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

Great room for working on internet. Nice view of beach from 5 floor. Nice walking path to the beach. Very quiet was able to get a good nights sleep. The free breakfast was great while on the business trip, you did not have to work extra time in to stop someplace and order or do the fast food route.

“Good for overnight stay before cruise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

We have stayed here before I thought that it was getting old looking but appeared to have been repainted in rooms. Not terrible by any means. Outside corridor to room . Pool was way too cold to use. Breakfast was really good and free. They had just about anything you would want to eat. No restaurant have to go over to Marriott or walk several blocks. I hated the pillows but the beds were comfortable

“Really Good Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

This hotel was recommended to me on one of the cruise ship discussion boards. I booked the hotel using 14,100 United miles and paid $55 for the transportation package offered by the hotel (one package comes with your PAID room and extra ppl are $45) This included transportation from Orlando Airport to the Hampton Inn ("HI") (about 45 minute ride), then from HI to the Port Canaveral cruise ship terminal (about a 10 - 15 minute ride) and then from the Port Canaveral terminal back to Orlando Airport (45 minutes). I arrived at the hotel about 7:15 on Friday night and was greeted by a nice lady at the desk who quickly checked me in. I was pleasantly surprised by my room. It was on the 6th floor and had a view of the ocean (which I didn't see until the morning when the sun came out). It was nicely decorated and had a pretty shade of yellow paint. HI is affiliated with the hotel next door which had a restaurant (the type you walk up to, place your order, they give you a number for your table and bring you your food) so we went there and had dinner. Wouldn't recommend the burger there but the quesadillas, chips and spinach dip were good. They also serve alcohol there. The bed was REALLY comfortable and after a great night's sleep, I had a full, complimentary buffet breakfast (not continental) in the dining area of the hotel, just off the lobby (food is only available here in the morning). The shuttle came right on time the following morning and everything went smoothly. Also, there is a 7-11 across the street (a REALLY busy 4 lane road) in case you needed to pick up anything at the last minute. Only thing I'd point out about the shuttle is that when you arrive at the airport, you will have to wait for other flights to come in before the shuttle will leave it's parking place and come get you (I had about a 30 minute wait). I didn't notice a pool but I believe they have one. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again when sailing out of Port Canaveral.
