Definitely not one of Holiday Inn's better establishments... Check-in was fine. The place is huge so the map they give you is necessary. The hallways had obviously not been swept in a while and probably not painted in a few years. The room was nice by 1998 standards: decent but nothing special compared to other Holiday Inns. All the corridors are outdoors and the doors need better sound-proofing: you'll hear a good bit of noise outside if you are a light sleeper. I can see why kids would love this place: the pool is geared for kids and it shows with tons of screaming children everywhere. If you have kids and don't need a fancy place to stay, this is your hotel. If you're looking for a nice relaxing romantic getaway on the beach, look elsewhere.

“HORRIBLE, DON'T STAY!!!!”

Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach - Oceanfront

The "Kids Suite" is supposed to be so great, but it wasn't. Don't waste your money, it is a regular room which they built a partial wall and put a bunk bed, a toddler size bed, a dresser with a tv on it. These beds aren't even twin size beds! Makes the room smaller. The room was supposed to come with a refrigerator, which wasn't in the room when we went in. We called the front desk and they told us it was a $10/p/d charge. When we reminded them we were in a kids suite they stated there wasn't an additional charge. They promptly brought a refrigerator to the room. We had to track down house keeping to get a garbage can which seemed to be missing from the room. When they brought it to us, it was disgustingly dirty. The door to the room appeared as if someone tried to break into the room (not while we were there). The bathroom door at the bottom was splittering, the bathtub had the porcelain peeling off which it appeared that just painted right over it. The shower trickled out!! The sink area had little tiny nats constantly flying around. The A/C sounded like a helicopter taking off constantly. Way, Way, Way overpriced for the rooms. Wouldn't recommend anyone staying there. I did speak with the front desk about the problems, they did reduce our rate but I still feel it was overpriced. When I asked if they were going to renovate, she stated they were going to tear it completely down and rebuild but she stated they have been telling them that for several years. They definitely need to tear it down!!!!

we stayed here june 29 through july 2. the place is not even close to clean . the staff obviously take no pride in there jobs or the trash that is laying all in the bushes and on the walkways would be cleaned up. the internet promise in every room is a lie unless you bring wireless hook up which to me isnt an ammenity.they took ther sweet time about getting our room ready i checked three times and finally around 5 o'clock i got one. which to my surprise i asked for ocean view and got bushes and trees even though the other two floors above had vacant rooms.pool was ok for our daughter and us and breakfast was ok. the pictures they show looks like heaven but thats far from reality. i cant believe holiday inn would put there name on this place. room was filthy with stuff on the walls dust webs on the floors with sand. air conditioner barely kept the room cool. i got my hopes up and was terribly dissapointed. dont make the same mistake try somewhere else.

This hotel was perfect. My family stayed at this hotel from June 30 until July 5, 2008.

From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were really happy and pleased. The lobby was so colorful and clean.

The staff was oh so friendly, and eager to help us.

The pools were wonderful. The adult pool is an olympic sized one that is really clean and huge. The childrens pool with the pirate ships is amazing and safe for children.

The entire hotel property is clean, safe, quiet. There is security riding around a lot on a golf cart.

There are more than one resturant with great cheap food.

All in all, a great, first class place.

I am really happy I took my family to this hotel.

I would have to agree with most of the reviews of this hotel: totally outdated rooms that were not the cleanest, and certainly not worth the price, especially the "Family Suite" that we stayed in. I'm sure the Hilton or the Cocoa Beach Resort would have been much nicer, but I have to say, our 4-year old son LOVED the pool, the Pirate kiddie pool, and the beach. That made it all worth it in the end.
