First off let me say that the company I work for owns related hotels -- that being said, I felt I should book my room through an IHG affiliate. Unfortunately, the property was unwilling to honor my employee rate. Still, I opted to stay at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront. I was disappointed that my bathroom was not cleaned on my second day there, nor were the towels refreshed and replaced. We went to a restaurant after a day at NASA and sat for over 15 minutes without service; you'd think if the hotel was sold out for a NASA launch, the management would have put on enough wait staff to serve the customer load. Frankly, the restaurant wasn't even full -- maybe 6 other tables. Another couple, seated after we were, left before we did because they hadn't received service either. The pool area had puddles of slimey water that could not possibly have accumulated overnight--watch your step!
The hotel was sold out Friday and Saturday nights due to the launch but space freed up immediately after. Went back to the front desk to see about moving rooms to something oceanfront. They wanted $150 per night to move. Frankly, the "resort" simply wasn't worth it, and they again wouldn't offer me employee pricing. We made a call to the Hilton and moved to a MUCH nicer hotel for the same price ($99 per night) we were charged at the Holiday Inn. Bottom line -- not worth the price. Go down the street and stay at the Hilton where you get better service, friendlier hotel staff, and better surroundings at a hotel that is still oceanfront.

We got a really good deal at a travel discount website(60% off), maybe if I had paid full price, my review wouldn't be the same.
Rooms are outdated, big time, but it was clean, besides we spent all day on the pool. The kids pool with the pirate ship is a huge asset if you have small kids like me, 2 and 4 years old.
Another great assest is that you are allowed to bring your own cooler with your drinks or food to the pool.
Food was good too.
Would recommend, and possibly come back

Our stay was a nightmare!!! The rooms are dirty, the property is out dated not to mention the structural damage due to the hurricanes about 4 yrs ago that STILL isn't fixed. The rooms are damp, mold on the walls, unsanitary carpets and bedding. Lets not forget the friendly "palmetto" bugs (ROACHES). Buyer beware, this is an over priced Roach Motel.

“Fun for the family”

Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach - Oceanfront

My family just returned from our stay at the Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach and it worked out pretty well for us. My husband had to be in the area for business, so we were looking for a place that would be easy and fun for the kids. This place fit the bill.

I've read other reviews and I can't argue with some of them. It's dated and could use a little fixing up... the food is nothing great. But it really depends on what you're looking for. It does have more of a motel feel to it, but for a family vacation I thought it was fine. It's right by the beach and I thought the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

For us (and for many it seemed), it was all about the pool. This place has quite a "pool scene". The pirate ship wading/sprinkler pool was a hit with the kids and a really easy way to entertain my 5, 3 and 1 year olds. There is another larger (heated) pool right next to it as well. Music plays all day and families are in and around it until after 10pm. If you're seeking any kind of quiet, avoid any rooms near the pool. If you're looking for anything romantic, forget this place completely.

However, if you're looking for convenience, I found that the cabanas right off the main pool were great. They were the only rooms with semi-private terraces/balconies with tables and chairs, and they're a bit larger than the other rooms as well. I believe there are only 8 of them and if possible, I'd get one on the ground floor. The terraces on the 1st floor are gated and steps from the pool, so I was able to sit out and read, watch my husband play with my kids and still hear my youngest in the room if she woke from her nap. We stayed in room 158.

In general, if I wanted something more upscale, I'm not going to Cocoa Beach anyway, so if I find myself in the area again with my family, I'd return here.

I'm currently here for company training and my company put me up in this hotel. When I looked at it online, I was excited and impressed. Even when I drove up, I was still pleased. But once I drove around back and saw my room, I have to say I was disappointed. First of all, this place is NOT a resort in anyway. It's a run down, 1950's beach motel. Looks horrible from the outside and the inside is First Class MOTEL shabbiness. My room was barely clean, my door has a big gap under it where bugs come in and get in my bed (seriously people, I found a beetle in my bed) and so I shoved towels under the door. No breakfast, which what hotel does not at least provide a continental breakfast these days? For the price, you would think there would be a breakfast.
I am scheduled to stay here for another 9 days and I am NOT looking forward to it. On top of it all, the family next door to me has like 8 people in one room or something, they use the parking lot/out door hallway as a playground for their kids, so I basically live next to a Hillbilly Daycare. Great. Please save your money and get your family a good vacation hotel.
