I had reservations for a kitchenette room, secured 6 months prior, however they had no kitchenette rooms available so "upgraded" me to a tiny oceanfront room. The hotel was under construction, dirty in the room, even had cockroaches! Houskeeping did not clean if they actually remembered to come that day. Had trouble getting clean towels, coffee, and toilet paper. Air conditioner in room was broke, etc... Every day had a new experience adding to the disappointment. I heard numerous other guests with long lists of complaints also! La Quinta next door looked much better! The only perk to this hotel was a decent location!

From the moment we checked in, we received outstanding service. We had ten people traveling with five rooms and Tony Ross the night manager took great care of us. He went above and beyond. The daily breakfast was outstanding and Anna and her staff were so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Everyone is so nice and room views are exceptional. Close proximity to the pier made eating out and New Years celebrating easily accessible. We will definitely be back!

From the moment the room was booked online, I knew my daughter and I were in for a treat!! When we called the hotel, we spoke with a friendly, accommodating, and professional agent who booked us the perfect room with a spectacular view of the ocean. Yes, it was a bit chilly, but the view while standing on the balcony AND in front of the windows in the"living room" area was worth it all!!! I was surprised that the windows were clear and without obstruction of both the frontal and side view of the ocean and pier.
The pier was within a reasonable walk either on the beach, or through the parking lot. And the many tasty treats offered through about 4 different restaurants offered a meal for every taste and budget. The shops and live entertainment made for a wonderful "eve before my birthday" as we ate and drank our way through the evening. As per previous reviews, this hotel offers the best in both sunrise and sunset views!!! And from the 8th floor it's easy to view the surrounding area from both inside and on the balcony that directly faces the ocean.
Breakfast the next morning went beyond the "Continental Breakfast" advertised. They served eggs, sausage, Oatmeal cereal, fruit, flavored creamer for coffee and much more. We were pleasantly surprised at the selection for a satisfying breakfast.
The lighted cruise ships off in the distance offered a kaleidoscope of colors. After taking a walk down the pier and enjoying a tasty dinner, we went back to this beautiful suite and settled in for the night. Just before we retired we were amazed at the full moon's reflection off the water and the clear twinkling of a starry sky. The beds were so comfortable, we almost missed breakfast. Good thing we didn't because that was a joy in itself.
The only bad part was leaving this bit of paradise on earth. I must include the fact that the already perfect hotel is undergoing renovations. The construction did not interfere with guest activity and guests can enjoy walking through every bit of the property undisturbed.
