Love Cocoa Beach! Love The Resort on Cocoa Beach!! We travel to the Cocoa Beach area every year and are owners at the Resort. Wouldn't miss it for anything. You have to remember this is a time share resort, not a hotel! I have read many reviews that state they have problems with different services offered at the resort. The cleaning service tidies up during your stay but they are not there to clean up after you everyday. If you want that you need to go to the Holiday Inn or another "hotel" in the area. This is more like a home away from home with "home" being the key word. I know at my home we do not have a maid clean up after us everyday. As for the city of Cocoa Beach itself, it's great. There is plenty to do for everyone. There is, of course, the BEACH!!! Why else would you go to a beach town????? You have snorkeling, parasailing, swimming, etc. You have shopping of all kinds within minutes of the resort, a zoo, go carts and mini golf, the pier, regular golfing, boating, excursions, and I could go on and on. They have hundreds of brochures in the lobby with TONS of things to do. Also, you are only 40 minutes from any Disney attraction you can think of. Also, the town of Cocoa, only about 15 minutes away is beautiful. The resort has done a wonderful job with activities planned for all ages. You can enjoy a cook out poolside and listen to live music, play tennis, basketball, etc... I could go on and on about this place. I have not had one bad experience yet, no smelly rooms, no loud music from the pool, etc. I love it and my family loves it. For those who say they won't come back, great, more time for those of us who love it!

This was our 4th year here and we are always happy with our stay. The units are very large - master bedroom with full bath/jacuzzi and king size bed, walk in closet - lots of storage. Second bedroom is smaller with twin beds and plenty of storage. There is also a second 1/2 bath with shower. Kitchen has all the necessities - full size fridge, microwave, oven, toaster, blender, coffee maker, bake ware, silverware, dishes, etc. Balconies are private with a great view of the ocean. You do need to be on the 3rd floor or higher or you will be looking at the greenery - not the ocean. The pool could have been built on the ocean side but being on the street side prevents late night swimmers from disturbing them. The only thing I would change in the rooms is the carpet and living room furniture. They are getting worn and could use an update. The beach is great - quiet, no cars, no boom boxes, no motorized vehicles. If you have young children, there are lots of activities for them plus a movie theatre, weekly cookouts and pool side entertainment. I found the front desk staff very friendly. The restaurant is still closed but there are lots of other places in Cocoa and on Merritt Island to eat. Tennis courts and basketball courts are also available. We bring our own beach chairs and umbrella so no need to rent. I would highly recommend The Resort on Cocoa Beach and we will definitely stay there again.

We have been to The Resort on Cocoa Beach seven times now. We own there. We have ocean front and always request fourth floor or higher. We get there early on Saturday when we check in so that we can pre-register and request the higher floor. Yes, when we went the resturant was closed, but it's vacation so we just went with the flow. Vacation is all about chillin' out. It enabled us to visit more resturants than normal. To try new ones.
The Atlantic Seafood Grill was excellent as well as a great view, since it is located on the Cocoa Beach pier. We have never had a problem with smelly rooms or anything like that, so it is hard to believe. We love the live music by the pool, and my two children feel like they own the place. They do most of the children's activities as well as movies. We have to plan our trips to the theme parks in Orlando around the days that they want to participate in the activities at the resort. This year my 5yr old won $160 bucks at cash bingo on Fri. That was quite enjoyable. Cocoa Beach is for the most part a quiet laid back town. That is what we like about it. But if you want to go to the mall and typical resturants just drive over Banana River. They are only 15 minutes away. And the sunset on Banana River is absolutely breath taking. You might even see some manatees.

The rooms were large and spacious for the money. Had a king size bed in one room with a full bath. One room had two twins. We also had a pull out sleeper in the living room. This is a timeshare condo so they don’t have daily room cleaning. We stayed two nights. If you stay a week or longer then they come in and due a touch up service. They have a towel exchange were you can get clean towels daily. The staff was very pleasant and friendly to us. If you are looking for a nice place to stay this is great but don’t expect the same service as a hotel. They don’t have bellman. They provide large luggage carts so you transport your own luggage. We had 5 people so this was nicer and cheaper than getting two hotel rooms. They have a washer, dryer and dishwasher in each unit. I would stay there again.

This is my third year staying at the resort. Numerous posts discuss Ocean View vs Ocean Front. Although Ocean View you need to be on your balcony, you do not get the heat and sun that you get all morning, day and early evening in an Ocean Front unit. The nice thing about the resort is you do not hear street sounds, it has lots of activities for children of all ages, and an in house theater with I believe 60 seats. I have never had any "bad" experience with the staff. Any time an item was found broken or unusable within minutes the housekeeping staff was there to replace it. This year the staff at the front desk did not seem as friendly but they appeared younger than in the past. If I asked for something they would try to get it for me. Although the surrounding area isn't bright and cheery, there are some good restaurants in the area, all you have to do is look (Florida Seafood Grill is WUUUNDERFUL!!). Check in is much nicer than at Massanutten in Virginia. We arrived at noon, and although check in was not until 4, they were willing to give us a room that was ready. (Massanutten won't give a room out until 4, imagine 100 families waiting for keys to start their vacation). there are activities for the adults (water aerobic, seated massage, cooking class, facials, how to gamble on the two near by casino ships, etc..). There was even a visit by the local zoo who brought animals relative to Florida. There is always games around the pool, where there is a tiki bar and refreshments. And Smitty that rents the beach chairs and umberellas is very nice, if you can't locate him the resort has a way of contacting him for you. He services several other resorts and motels along the beach also. Most disapointing items this year were: in past there was a wife and husband (Lonnie and Delinda) singers who played music by the pool, they were only there one day instead of the usual 5, the spa was closed for two days to be serviced, and unknown to me, the restaurant was closed. Also prior to arriving I had notified the resort we were bringing a small inflatable dingy with us, and where could we park it. We followed the directions of the Resort Manager and parked where told. However some one removed it from the trailer durign the night. We got a call from the front desk at 3:30 AM notifying us that the boat was missing. The security guy, John, had seen it at 3 AM when he made his rounds and at 3:30 when he came back it was gone. The most agrivating part of this was that John was the only one that spoke to us (other than the Police), neither the manager nor the head of security thought that they should speak to us.
In closing, the resort is beautiful, the personel are accommodating, but the management should be replaced.
