“Pleasant One Night Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

We chose this hotel on short notice after deciding to stay overnight in Cocoa Beach. The good reviews helped make the decision though we had a voucher for one night so the decision was an easy one.
This hotel is located in a very convenient spot for walking to Ron Jon's, the beach or some of the shops around Ron Jon's. The hotel appears to be very well maintained and clean. The grounds with all of the oak trees are very nice despite the fact that all of the hotels are kind of shoe-horned in.
The front desk had some issues figuring out the voucher we had but some assistance from the other staff resulted in it being accepted. The staff was courteous though not overly friendly.
We received a room on the 3rd floor at the end of the building nearest the main street. The view from the balcony was over the pool however you also get to see all of the warts associated with the pool pumps and supplies. Certainly there would have been a room with a nicer view but surely there are rooms with worse views too. This view may be preferable duirng hot weather but in February the pool area was not very active. The lack of an awesome view was dissappointing as the hotel was not nearly full.
Overall we had a very good experience and can recommend this hotel,

Room Tip: Try to get a room on an upper floor with perhaps a better view.

Location is only 100 yards to the beach, although thru the parking lot. The beach was beautiful. The accommodations, room with jacuzzi, was great. The staff was beyond reproach. Happy hour, nice. Free morning coffee from Starbucks certainly hit the spot. Near restaurants and Ron John's.

My husband and I decided to stay one night at this Courtyard recently. We have had good experiences with Courtyard, but found this one to fall short in a few areas. Overall it was okay, and I would recommend it, but it had a few problems.

First, the good points:
1) the parking area is lovely - large oak trees at every turn gives it a garden atmosphere.
2) Nice balcony, ours had a pleasant view of the river to the west.
3) A comfortable mattress.
4) Good water pressure in the shower.
5) A short walk to the beach.

Now, the not-so good:
1) No coffee service in the morning in the lobby, even though it's listed in the in-room guide.
2) The coffee maker in the room is tiny, and there is no microwave in the room. (I'm a hot tea drinker, and although I took some tea with me for in the morning, I could not find a source for hot water)
3) The air conditioner in our room (#714) was barely adequate. We set the temp control to 68, but it felt like 75.
4) The front desk clerk who checked us in was not very friendly. I think she was new on the job, so maybe she was just not on top of her game yet. We are Platinum members, but when we politely requested a top-floor room, she seemed a bit put out by our request.
5) The chime in the elevators, that "dings" as you pass each floor and also when the doors open/shut, was quite annoying. It was shrill and loud - I can't imagine how people who are wearing hearing aids cope with the noise.

This is not a bad hotel, and probably is one of the better hotels in this area.

Room Tip: Upper floors are better for a good view, as the oak trees block the views down below.

Traveling for work is always more stressful and less amusing than for a vacation. From the moment I arrived at the Courtyard Marriott in Cocoa Beach Florida I felt relaxed and welcome. I especially would like to thank Joseph and Rita for their superior customer service at the lounge. They guided me to outstanding local spots and were eager to make sure I was not in need of anything. Their attention to detail and each customer while I was there went above and beyond what I see today in this world when customer service is a dying breed. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Not only will I return, I will recommend this hotel to friends, family and co-workers!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the ocean with the balcony were wonderful and relaxing.

Very nice, very clean, modern, well appointed. Not cheap but a Good price for what you are getting. Hotel Staff are super nice people, people in coffee shop not so much. Moved here after bad experiance at the Hampton.

Room Tip: very small view of the ocean.

I was in town for a business trip and I have to say I love this hotel. The staff here makes you feel like family rather than a guest. When on business trips everyweek I stay at several hotels and this is one of the best. I wanted to go out for dinner and when you travel by yourself it is difficult to pick a place. I had decided to stay at the hotel because Rita and Diane and of course Joe,I had my dinner at the hotel because they make you feel like a family member rather than a guest. I will be back here again because of Rita,Diane and Joe, the girls at the front desk are very good as well.
