Captain Jeanette was fantastic. She is well informed and ready to answer all questions. We managed to see some dolphins and manatees.

“Great trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

I went out yesterday with Capt. Ben and had a great time! There were plenty of dolphins and manatees, although the latter were typically shy and were mostly submerged. Thoroughly recommended!

“a great time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

I guess we were lucky - we went out and started seeing manatees almost immediately. We probably saw 10 during our trip, including a mother and calf. The tour was relaxed, very informative and worth every penny.

“Excellent Family Trip.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

Took our 8 year old and 3 year old. They LOVED it. They were so thriled to see manatees and dolphins. Captain Jeanette & Rusty were very nice and answered all the kids questions. The In-laws loved it too. I would recommend this trip for anyone looking for a good family nature experience.

“Dolphins and birds and lots of local color”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

We chose Wildside tours because it uses smaller boats which means less crowds, and they advertise that they do not chase down the wildlife and interfere with it. Our trip on a Tuesday morning was wonderful and we got to see lots and lots of dolphins playing in the water and around the docks. We had 6 adults in our group and our captain was on time and very professional. She ran us through the afety procedures, distributed decent binoculars to those who didnt have them - and showed us where the drinks were. Both sodas and water were available in the cooler. She started immediately with information about the history of the thousand islands and cocoa beach - very interesting, and she even had a picture of the area from the beginning of the space race. We saw lotsof local birds, herons, pelicans, egrets and ibis which she was able to identiy. There was even a flock of woodstork. Dolphins joined us and swam alongside several times which gave everyone a great chance to get pictures. We watch ed the pelicans follow a pod of dolphin along a dock waiting for the fish to surface. We didnt get to see manatees up close becasue the water was still a bit too cool. At our request, we crossed over to Bird island to see the nesting birds, and on the back side was a roseate spoonbill. Our captain clearly knew the waters well, and made sure that even as she brought us up as close as posisble for a good view, that we did not run aground. This wasnt a hard-core birding tour - but we really enjoyed it, and appreciated our captain's local lore and understanding of the local environment and its creatures. One last thing - the boat picks you up at the doc of a local park - since there isnt any signage - its a little confusing when you get there - but google maps took us right to it.
