My family recently stopped in for a cold beer and some late lunch while on vacation. We made a great choice, because the meal was wonderful. They have some of the best burgers that I have ever tasted! Great happy hour prices on drinks also. The best meal we had while on vacation from our home in Maine.
Service can be a tad slow when they are swamped but they make up for it with simple good tasting food and being extremely friendly
Also the outside dining is dog friendly.

Surprising to Ffind that Murdock's establishment is not rated here, so I put an end to that.
Wonderful locals spot with good food-- metro southern fare-- and nice cocktails and a wonderful atmosphere. The place itself, is quaint, breezy with big swing out windows and a well-lighted interior. The bar and wait staff are eclectic-- what more to say? Stevie Davis and Pat Milikin have created a local's hangout that endures.
Food is good, but as they emphasize not fine dining. However, you can get a wonderful burger, or a Sloppy Murdock or some very nice salads. And the sides are fun: black eyed peas, mac & cheese and even turnip greens. Beer is cold.
But the patrons are the strong point. A friendly meeting place day or night. Entertainment on weekends.
I would give it an excellent review, but the very charm of the place is not to try to be too perfect. So there.
