“Great meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013 via mobile

Visited their food truck was never disappointed...finally got to the new restaurant and again, not disappointed! Ordered 420 and Crooked Spoon burgers, made to order. Upgraded to the fries in truffle oil, worth it! My friend ordered the chicken on polenta bread, beautiful plating, tasted great! Owner came around said hello... Staff very attentive and helpful. Hope this one stays around awhile, worth the hour drive for dinner.

“A wonderful and welcomed arrival in Clermont”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013 via mobile

A new restaurant that just opened mid August and I must say they have already established themselves very well in the kitchen! The atmosphere is trendy gastropub design with wood floors and prominent dark colors. The chef started his career with local food truck fame and prides himself on locally procured ingredients wherever possible. We started off with the in-house pickles which were wonderful collection of root vegetables, Brussels sprouts. And for dinner had the Crocked Spoon burger which was a very hearty hand packed backyard burger on a sweet roll. We also had one of their many daily specials ..today was the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. And finished it up with a skillet apple pie. Food was exceptional and gourmet at what I would call less than chain restaurant prices. $10 for fresh fish tacos ( as an example) is truly a deal. All this and a glad of wine and an iced tea for $45. AWESOME!!! We will be back many times over.

“Sunday Lunch at the Crooked Spoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

It's new. It's freshly decorated. It's a dinning room. A very nicely appointed bar area. The Crooked Spoon has walls lined with TVs. Seating is comfortable. A hostess greets you the door and directs you to your seats. Seems to be a roomy restaurant . Servers are attentive. Thirteen dollars was the most expensive item, a lamb burger. We had the smoked fish dip($9) appetizer. Served with 4 pieces of toasted bread. Was tasty. Also pickled veggies appetizer with cucumbers, broccoli, garlic, carrots and spices. If you enjoy pickles, you may like this appetizer ($7). Crooked Spoon Burger was cooked to order; a combination of fresh ground brisket and short ribs. Had a smokey taste, I enjoyed it ($12). The other meal was the 420 burger ($12). Same meat blend, served to order. Meals served with homemade chips. All the usual beverages served. Ice tea was $2, glass was never empty. On Sundays alcohol is served after 12 o'clock .
Very clean restaurant . Tables were cleaned quickly and readied for the next patrons. We will return.

Crooked Spoon is located near the Citrus Tower, 200 Citrus Tower Blvd. Clermont.

“New to Clermont”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

Lunch today. This place is a great addition to Clermont. Basically sandwiches and their own kettle fries. Not officially open yet but the place was packed. The menu is very unique. It must have two dozen craft beers on draft and a large wine list. Staff is still learning but they are really personable and outgoing. The interior is newly built with dark woods and stainless steel fixtures. There is an area for outdoor dining. Lots of parking and it needs it. The kids menu is not just the same old chicken fingers and mac and cheese.

“Great new restaurant!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Finally Clermont gets another restaurant that isn't a chain! Visited for the first time tonight. Even though only open a few days we had great service! The place looks great. It was raining tonight so I look forward to going back and sitting on the patio! I had the grilled chicken dish with polenta! Yummy! Chicken was very moist. Ended the meal with chocolate bread pudding! Also tasty! Prices range between $14-$20 for entrees. Fair price for the meal. I will be going back. Would love to try a few lunch options!
