We were not warned about the 1 mile dirt/clay road through farmland to get the location. Our car was muddy and driving was challenging. They said they graded it in the morning....but, would have driven a different car had we known. Upon arriving the staff was very polite. I was told to be sure to tip the guide, and there was signs also posted. I do not believe it is necessary. He led us to the course and he sat while we rode. I don't think that warrants a tip.
I was not happy with the vehicle. It was a cam-am. Not a true dune buggy. The course you take is 2 miles....5 laps. The course was freshly graded which was great. My boyfriend's buggy, had two low tires...pretty low and our "guide" did not notice it.
Price point. I bought a Groupon for $55 for one ride, which was listed as $110 normally. The posted price was $70 per ride. We asked to change to ATVs but, he said it would be more. However, the ATV price was the same as the buggy. Lie.
The dune buggy ride lasted 25 min and the ATVs are out for 75 minutes.
I did not think it was worth the price charged.
Porta potties are available.
