“Very nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2011

Nice clean place for the money(about $130)near the beach and a bar/restaurant although we didn't eat there. Our room was a double bed it was very clean with wireless internet ,and a fridge. The room was small but great for two people with a view of the ocean,no balcony but the observation deck(great for sunsets) was very nice! It was within walking distance to everything, the only drawback was the place has no elevator and it is three stores high we didn't mind the steps but some people do.

My boyfriend & I have stayed in many hotels & this is a great place to stay. The price, staff, location & a very clean room with a very comfortable bed is more than we even expected. We stayed on the weekend, right beside public parking, had never had problems with noise. We had rented a car in Tampa & once at hotel, the car never moved. Walking distance to great eateries. The staff were so nice & accommodating. We will be back here on next visit!!!!

We stayed three week nights. Nice size room, clean, good bed. Nice staff from the parking attendent , who made us feel like a welcome friend, right to Katie at the desk. Katie got us the room we wanted. Stayed in 104. At the end of the hall so we could go in and out the back door on the first floor, no stairs. Convenient to pool just around the corner, out back door. Outdoor shower right there so we could wash sand off our feet before entering. Grill and Bar were right there too. Great music and food. Only thing is they didn't serve breakfast.
But we found a great place a couple of blocks away. Clear Sky Beachside Cafe. Good price , good food, good grits, and good sweet tea. The Palm Pavilion only had unsweet tea. And everyone, even the men, must check out the womens bathroom, It is beautiful.
The only bad thing I have to say about this hotel is it was a little far for me to walk. Everyone in the reviews I read said that everything was in walking distants. But that was not true for me. I found the pier to be a good walk for me. And the rest of the beach walk, which was lovely, was hard for me to take. Maybe other people are more fit than me. And the other thing that disappointed us was the roof. They lock the door to the roof from 10pm to 9am. I understand the quiet time rule. That is good so that no one is disturbed. But we thought we would be able to go up and look at the sky and stars at night. And really wanted to watch the sunrise from up there. When we go back to Clearwater Beach , which I am sure we will. We may try another place , mainly because we could not go up to the roof and quietly enjoy the sights from there. Our room did not have a view and that was okay because the beach was just outside our door. But we were counting on the roof top being open to us. Hope this review helps someone.

Thanks for posting comments to TripAdvisor! We appreciate that you took the time to share your experience with other travelers. I'm sorry that some of the areas of the beach were a bit too far for you to walk to. Did you try the Jolley Trolley? It's a great way to see the Pier, Beachwalk and other fun things at the far end of the beach! As for the rooftop deck, you are correct that we close it at 10pm to prevent noise disturbances to the rooms just below. I can relate to you wanting to gaze at the stars at night and listen to the sounds of the gulf. I'm so sorry we weren't able to live up to that expectation for you. Thanks again for your business!!

Staff was friendly. Check in a breeze. The air conditioner in my room was not cooling peoperly. A man came and checked it out and still didn't cool so they upgraded us to an efficiency with gulf view. The parking guy was very nice and always had a spot for you. The rooms were clean and our maid Sue was very friendly. The pool was great and the kids loved it. The resturant next door had good food and very friendly. I can't say any cons about this Inn. Make sure to go to Shepards Resturant for dinner, all you can eat seafood buffet with crab legs. YUM!!!!

My sister and I call the Palm "home" for our annual "sister trip". In May (for the past 4 years), we have made our trek to the sunny, white sand beach of Clearwater. And, arriving at the Palm, feels like being "home". The staff is outstanding! The rooms are spotless....And there is always a parking spot awaiting your return...if you find the need to drive. You won't find large rooms or fancy over-the-top decor. So if that is what you are looking for, the Palm may not be for you. But, if you want sparkling clean accomodations, kind and caring staff, a spot for stunning sunsets and the perfect place to relax...Just give Palm Pavilion a call...

Room Tip: Gulfview is a must

I didnt stay here or eat her for that matter. The bar was a blast. They had a very entertaing singer/comedian named jeff Gurney (spelling?) Right on the beach. Gorgeous view. It had an indoor retaraunt and an outdoor bar/restaraunt. Smoking yes. But its open air. I would recommend this place. No Doubt!!!
