When will Bonefish come to NYC? This is a question my friends and I asked the bartender on our last visit to the Bonefish in Clearwater. Luckily, I've had the opportunity to stop at this restaurant at least once a year while visiting. For a restaurant owned by the "Outback" chain, this is the best! They also own Carraba's, which I once loved, but have found everything on the menu to have changed and have that "Outback" kick (spice) to it. I highly recommend the shrimp appetizer that comes in a sweet goat cheese, sundried tomato, and olive cream sauce. You can dip loaves of bread in it for hours! And they will give you the extra bread with no attitude! What makes this restaurant fantastic is that they have an original concept of allowing you to mix and match your entree by picking a type of fish then choosing the preparation and sauce! Prices are reasonable for an upscale restaurant. Young, friendly staff who explain the menu in detail. Always crowded so remember reservations!
