“Save your money, go to a nice restaurant”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

We thought the perfect end to our family vacation would be a sunset cruise. We boarded at 5:30 p.m. and were seated next to the window with the Florida sun streaming in directly on us. It was uncomfortably warm but we were assured that once we set sail, the a/c would come on and it would be much cooler. We tried to find some relief outside the cabin but that area was set aside as the smoking section. As the cabin became hotter we became concerned for my 84 year old dad's health, the server brought us ice but it quickly became obvious he was not doing well. 2 hours into the cruise the server asked someone to trade tables with us to get him out of the sun. It helped slightly but by then we just wanted the cruise to end.
We suggested to the staff that they put shades on the windows to block the sun but the staff said they had told owner about previous complaints about the heat coming from the windows but he refuses to "block the view".
Dinner did not improve our experience - the portions were miniscule: the appetizer was 1 shrimp, a slice of spinach filled pastry, something the size of a crouton (no one knew what it was), and a 1/2" piece of (we think) salmon. The chateaubriand was size of a deck of cards and covered in a thick gooey sauce none of us liked. Their dessert trio was a joke - a cookie, a spoonful of whipped cream and a spoonful of mousse with a canned mandarin orange slice on top. It did not justify the $34.
The singer was downstairs - we could barely hear upstairs at our tables - and there was no dance floor. If you wanted to dance, you have to dodge the wait staff and other guests.
My advice is to go to a nice beachfront restaurant and skip this cruise. You are more likely to have a nice dinner, a good view and if there is a problem, the restaurant may actually do something about it. Once we paid for and got on the boat - we were stuck. It was the most miserable 3 hours I've ever spent - and no one cared or offered any sort of compensation.
