If you are in a rush, this isn't the place. But if you are tired of pitiful "american chinese" or 'run of the mill thai" and want something fresh, tasty, wonderful - stop here. It's terrific. Pho queen looks like every other US19 strip restaurant that changes names every year from the outside but that's where it ends. The menu is really varied with soups, noodles, rice dishes, traditional Vietnamese dishes and some others thrown in. You can tell the family that runs it really cares. The spring rolls came crunchy with a great, lighter than expected, peanut sauce. Curry chicken and seafood vegetables were next - fresh, crisp, and delicious. We liked it so much, we went back 2 days later for soup and a noodle dish (yes, and more spring rolls). The soup was a dinner size portion spiced just right with pork and chicken and fresh veggies. The Seafood noodle dish was loaded with seafood. The price is surprisingly good - about $10-12 for an entree, $8-10 for a huge soup (think more like a stew).
My one pause - as a family run place, they can get overrun. This is increasingly popular place especially with Asian "Expats". The place can get busy quickly. When we ate there there was about 6 tables, then a crowd of like 25 came in - all apparently related. Be patient, keep your sense of humor and it will all work out.
I've always loved Vietnamese food since living in Houston, I'm glad that this place in Clearwater/Dunedin showed up. While I don't get in that area often, I'm sure going to make a stop when I do. Don't miss it.
