We stayed at the Wyndham Palms for 5 nights. It was sold as a 5 star resort, well not by a long shot. Our 2 bedroom unit was a nice size with a balcony and a nice kitchen. Also the grounds are very well maintained ( the mower at 6:30am was not pleasant) and it is a very short drive to Disney, however the floors were so dirty that the walk from the front door to the bedroom left ones feet gray, the sofa had seen a few too many parties, and the balcony was filthy. The continental breakfast was of poor quality and the playground is broken and unsafe.

This was our third stay at a condo in Orlando and it had the promise of being the best one yet...it was brand new, it was Wyndham and the pictures of it were lovely. However, it was a big disappointment. The room itself was okay...good amenities, decent in size, but the entire unit had tile floors, which made it very cold and not comfortable and cozy, and there was no balcony, just a large sliding glass door that actually only served as a very large window and actually led nowhere. The grounds also left something to be desired... it was a row of large buildings along one major street...not the lovely landscaping and practical layout I was used to at other places I had stayed... there was nowhere you could just stroll along the grounds, unless you were just walking along the side of the road... which pretty much meant you had to drive, even to the clubhouse.
My biggest complaint, however is with the service. The first night we arrived, in the evening, we got prepared to make the fold-out bed, only to find there were no sheets. We called to get sheets and they said we could not pick them up but that they would deliver them. After another call and 90 minutes later, they finally brought the sheets...by then, it was after midnight....then they had the nerve to call at 6:30 am to see if we received our sheets and if there was anything else we needed. This was not the only day they called ridiculously early. I own a timeshare and have stayed at many other timeshares through exchanges and bonus weeks...and sure, sometimes, they call and invite you to a presentation...but at this place they called several times, and once it was at 8am....that is way too early to be getting a telemarketing call while on vacation.
One nice thing about the resort was that they did provide a nice daily continental breakfast out by the pool.

I so enjoy reading on the reviews on this particular property. It seems to me if you had stayed in a 2 bedroom or larger unit, then it was updated. So many people stayed there during April and the majority of you had good reviews and I noticed that it was because you had stayed in a larger condo that was obviously updated. There was no updating done in the one bedroom that we had. The green carpet was so soiled. The kitchen was something to be leary of and the fake balcony was very unwelcomed. we have stayed in many time shares being we exchange all the time and we have to say that this was one of the worst if not the worst. We have no desire to go back there ever again and try a 2 bedroom. for those of you that had a nice time share and really enjoyed yourself's that we are very happy for you. Vacations now a days are so important, and unfortunately a stay like we had can ruin it all.

My boyfriend and I stayed here back in april during a trip to disney for my birthday. I was a little nervous about booking this place due to all the bad reviews but we decided to take our chances. We were very happy we booked this room. We stayed in a regular 1 bedroom. One thing that I do agree with in the other rewiews is that it is very dark in the living room because there is not a window in the living room. All in all, this is a great place for the price, beautiful grounds and great activities. I enjoyed the pools, putt-putt, basketball courts, and pool side bar. There wasn't house keeping but that was ok because towels, toiletries, and kitchen supplies were brought by everyday. The staff was also extremely helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Wyndam Palms last summer, 2004. My mother and father in-law are timeshare holders and we switched out with someone to stay here. It was awesome. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and very roomy. The only problem we experienced was the fact that we thought some things were included in the room prices when they weren't . An example of this was the Luau on Wed. night. It costs extra to participate. The breakfasts are included and are served poolside. My husband, father in-law and brother in-law loved having a golf course on site. IF you want to be near all the action this isn't the place to be..you want downtown you are about a 10-15min car ride from everything. If you want a quiet peaceful vacation this is the place. Overall you cant go wrong with this hotel. The office staff were wonderful, the cleaning service was great! It is everything you expect at a resort.

We loved staying at this property! The accomodations were so spacious. We had 5 travelers and there was plenty of room for all of us! There were 3 pools, mini golf and basketball to work out all of the kids extra energy. Staff was polite but did not really go above and beyond. The shower is amazing and the beds are large. The screened in porch made a plesant grow-up wind down space. We have stayed at a few properties in the area and would use this one again.

Be careful, they tell you long distance calls are free. It's a lie at the end they make you pay for them. There is no housekeeping if you want it you have to pay 40.00 a day. They don't clean change your sheets. It's horrible when you complain that they don't tell you all this when you make the reservation they don't care about it. The floors were dirty the tub needed to be clean. I will never stay at any Wyndham Hotel again.
