We stopped here for lunch solely based on the reviews, otherwise we would have stopped at one on the water front restaurants. First, everyone was right the clam chowder is the best I've had and I've had chowder in New England a few times. Not too think, not over powered with potatoes and a seasoning that just sets it apart.
We opted not to have anything else. Frankly, the lunch menu wasn't that appealing. For some reason the fish sandwich wasn't even local fish. After being served and having seen the grilled cheese sandwich we probably would have had if with the chowder just because it looked so good; it was on Texas toast and included tomato...interesting.
The service was good and the atmosphere fine for lunch but not really what I would favor for dinner.
