We stayed this week in one of the Gulf View rooms. The description on the website is accurate. We arrived earlier than scheduled, but we were allowed to go ahead and get checked in (thank you). All staff members were nice and smiled a lot during our multi-day visit. Our room was very clean - there was no pet smell at all. The grounds were clean.
The patio area has a big propane grill and we used it several times during our multi-night stay. There are plenty of places to sit in the shade or in the sun. The view of the gulf is peaceful. It is a great place to get caught up on your reading. Or napping. There are plenty of bikes and boats if you prefer to exercise.
A well-stocked little grocery sits just a few minutes' walk up the street, so we bought food and cooked at the inn instead of going to restaurants. The little market has a surprisingly good wine selection. There is also a nice roadside stand at the Chevron station - lots of great cheeses, spreads, fruit, and vegetables. We ate our meals on the porch because the weather was nice and so was the view. Many businesses close on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (but the little grocery was open). The island is small enough that everything is within walking distance. There is really no need to drive your car once you arrive.
Most of the time the property was very quiet. Some of the small dogs were barking when guests left them in the room during the day and went sight-seeing. During the evening, the TV in the next room was audible, but fortunately everybody seems to go to bed early. During the night all was peaceful and we slept very well. The bed, pillows, and sheets are very comfortable.
Area to improve: the Wi-Fi is fast (10 Mbits per second), but it stopped working a couple of times while we were there. Even when working, the signal was not available in our room - we had to sit outside to use it. Adding a second router would be great. The signal is strong in the pavilion.
Overall this visit was a good investment of vacation time and money and I am glad that we stayed here.
