The Cedar Inn is a small, old fashioned type, two-story motel in downtown Cedar Key FL. The rooms are old-fashioned with a small bathroom and a small TV. I stayed there in May 2012.
The staff is friendly and polite, but no room service is available. The ice machine was broken
so ice was obtained out of an ice cooler by the office. The parking lot is small and when the motel is full, parking is hard to come by. It is located close to and within walking distance of the ever-popular Dock St and also close enough to hear the band music at night on the weekends.
Even though the room was clean, I would not recommend this motel to anyone unless you are a "no frills traveler" and just want a place to rest your head. There is no hair dryer or coffee pots in the rooms.
