We were on vacation and returning home from a long road trip and checked in at a hotel that was undergoing major renovation. The next day we went looking for another place to stay so we could fish for a couple of days. The 400 sq. ft, plus of living area at the Dockside Inn is well worth the price. Our unit was well equipped. I was pleased that the sleeping area was separated from the living/dining area and kitchen. The property is located on the water; and if you have a boat, you can dock it or rent equipment to enjoy other water sports.

The proprietors are very friendly and accommodating. We left a tip and to our surprise received a thank you letter from housekeeping!

Great, pet-friendly small motel, right on the canal in Cape Coral. Yolanda and Joe are the quintessential hosts, concerned about their guests' needs and willing to do what it takes to ensure a pleasant stay.

Rooms are spotlessly clean, can serve as cook-eat-sleep- and entertain areas, even with our two big dogs along! Pool is also spotless, maid service excellent, dock area at canal kept very well and makes a lovely resting place in the evening. Motel is convenient to downtown Cape Coral.

Thanks, Yolanda and Joe! Would recommend your place to anyone!

My husband and I stayed at the Dockside from August 12th-14th, and back again on the 16th-19th, after a brief trip to Key West. As always Yolanda and Joe were friendly and helpful, they even conjured up a tropical storm for us...just kidding, lol.
I completely enjoyed my stay with them, and cannot wait to go back again.

My husband and I spent 4 days at the Dockside Inn in January - as an escape from freezing Minnesota! We would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation recommending the Dockside Inn to family and friends.
Our room was in the back (on the canal side) so we didn't notice noise from the highway. The swimming pool was clean and warm. Joe and Yolanda were friendly and took the time to answer the questions we had about the area.
The room was spacious and clean. We appreciated the large refrigerator. The microwave quite working (up and died) and they replaced it immediately. I gathered shells while on the beach, and Joe helped me clean (bleach) them. The Dockside Inn is a delightful place to stay, and Joe and Yolanda are warm and gracious hosts.

“Not A Bad Place Really”

This stay was ok. Room size was great. Nice full sink for the dish washing. Nice size fridge too. The dock was small on the canal (which was also small), but was a nice place to sit and relax. They have a fenced in pet area where pets can roam free. Fairly clean, but not perfect. The carpet was dirty. Staff was friendly. I didn't choose to get in the pool, but I'm a germ-a-phob so... Near a busy street, and not much to drown out the noise. I did like that there was a seperate living area with a couch though. The place was quite expensive. All in all the experience was so-so.
