4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014 via mobile

Rooms good size and very clean. Everything we expected was there . mini fridge, coffee maker and nice large, soft bath towels. Location is great, walking distance to many restaurants. Check in somewhat chaotic. Young lady was not in anyway a person I would want greeting my customers. She was trying to be pleasant but was obviously not trained in the simple task of checking customer in. No need to go into detail.
Will recommend to others, pleasant stay

We stayed at the Dolphin Key for one night and wish we had stayed longer. We will definitely be back. The rooms are clean and tiled which is welcome. It's all updated and the small refrigerator is a welcome plus. The pool area is wonderful and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast on a quiet morning at the pool. We love the Tiki Bar and really enjoy the crowd there. We will definitely be staying again.

Room Tip: We picked inside the courtyard which was convenient and pretty quiet considering the pool and bar we...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your nice review. I hope we will see you for a longer stay next time.
As we are a new hotel, many don't know what to expect. About 60% of our guests extend their stays and change their plans, and we are of course very grateful for that.
Kind regards/Magdalena

We came into Cape Coral for some business for 4 days and I have to say we are glad we chose the Dolphin Key Resort. Very clean, when you walk into the room it has a fresh scent. The tile flooring is wonderful, the rooms are simple but adequate, double sink, nice shower, small fridge. Nice white linens. We choose a room facing the Tiki Bar as we do like music, it can be loud so if you don't like music choose a room on the other side. enjoyed having our coffee out on the patio outside our room. Great advantage having the bar/food area on the premises. The complimentary breakfast was okay. Pool was nice and clean. The staff of the resort and restaurant were all very nice and friendly. Parking does get a bit tight when the bar opens, but we never had a problem finding a spot. Would come back again and have already made a recommendation to our friends.

We had booked Dolphin Key because of the nice reviews but, oops, I booked the night BEFORE we got here. Matthew, at the front desk, could not have been nicer. Found us a room that is bright, airy and cheerful. Fabulous shower, nice clean room, could not be better!!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your nice review. I am glad you enjoyed the new modern showers. We jumped though some hoops, but finally got them from Europe as they give a much more pleasant experience.
Hope to see you back/Magdalena

I am hosting a wedding in Cape Coral and am familiar with a couple of the local resorts and another nearby hotel. I stopped in the Dolphin Key and asked if it would be possible to see an empty room. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. They immediately checked the register and showed me not only one room but two. The rooms have all been recently renovated with tile floors, resort type bedding, fresh paint, you name it. There was no smell or mustiness. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. There was also a mini fridge in room. I did not sit on the bed as I didn't want to disturb the room for their future guests. The rates were much cheaper but competitive with other hotels in town, but i will be recommending the Dolphin Key for my guests. A complimentary breakfast at the tiki bar is included each morning also. Compared to the resorts which believe me are nice, the difference in price cant justify staying there over the Dolphin Key.

Room Tip: restaurants and pubs and tiki bars within walking distance. a little more expensive, maybe $10 for...

Dear David,
Thank you for the nice review. We just added two new parking lots, as we have many people who come to enjoy the Tiki, even if they are not staying at the Resort, so I am happy you found it sufficient. Welcome back.

Stayed with my husband for Friday and Saturday night. We were in town for the Burrowing Owl Festival and the price was super reasonable. They give the best rate on their website and we were given a surprise bonus bottle of wine when we checked in because we had made our reservations on their site. Parking our van and popup trailer was no problem because they have purchased two adjacent parking lots. You get free parking if you stay there and they make sure that the most convenient sites are used only by motel guests.

We enjoyed dinner and the band in the Tiki Hut on Friday night. Music plays from 7:00 - 11:00 on Friday and Saturday at least in high season. If you want an early night, you might prefer one of the outside rooms. We liked the convenience of the pool and the Tiki Hut from our courtyard room. My husband has limited mobility, and the ADA arrangements were excellent. The shower was gorgeous, well planned and very large. The king bed was comfortable and everything was sparkling new and clean. I appreciated the refrigerator and freezer since we had some camping perishables with us.

A simple continental breakfast in the Tiki Hut (juice, coffee, milk, toast, bagels, cereal, ham or turkey) is convenient. The Sunday morning special of Bloody Marys for $2 before noon was a great deal but didn't appeal to us. BTW, this is the largest Tiki Hut in North America, no problem with crowding.

Beautiful clean heated pool in tropical setting, but no dolphins or beach here.

They were completely sold out when we were there. I was very glad to have made reservations early.

Room Tip: Tiki Hut bands on Friday and Saturday eves in season from 7:00 - 10:00. We loved it, but for a quie...
