Me and my family just went for a small vacation and I fall in love with this place and the fabulous way people treat us at the Westin Cape Coral Resort, specially George Reithel who was absolutely kind very concern on meeting all our needs. We really have a magnificent time and he offer us more that what we could never expect . Employees like him really make a difference since he always put a smile in our faces and will definitely coming back!

After our Bahamas cruise, we opted to explore more Florida for the weekend. This hotel by the Marina was a pleasant surprise. Very hospitable and luxurious. Sleep quality was at its best. Outstanding credit to Lance - who exudes the charm and warmth that will make our stay worth remembering.

It is very hard to rate this location. The Resort itself was wonderful, but the location was too far from everything.

The staff was very helpful and very friendly. Our 2 bedroom suite was very clean and well stocked for cooking. It was very quiet. The food was good in the restaurant and the views were beautiful. There were activities at the pool everyday for the kids. They have many boat slips if you have a boat.

It is, however, far from EVERYTHING! The beach is at least 45 minutes away (longer in traffic) and even other places to eat are quite a drive.

Watch how you book a room here. We booked through VRBO.com. It happened to be an overseas company, and they require you to use a VISA card. What they don't tell you is that you will be charged an extra $50 from VISA for charging overseas. They also misquoted our week long rate and then refused to honor the quote given or even reduce it at any amount.

I encourage you that when you decide to stay with us again, please book directly on our website or by talking with one of our reservations agents directly on property so that we can assist with any issues you may have along the way. When booked through a third party, unfortunately our hands are tied.

Also, I hope that when you were staying with us you took the complimentary water taxi to Fort Myers Beach. Our guests enjoy this option so they can experience the hustle bustle of the beach but then return to the serene environment we have to offer.

Westin recently began managing this property....A real surprise in Cape Coral...beautiful marina setting, friendly staff...upgraded to a spacious suite with all the amenities...great pool and marine activities, fishing, kayaking, etc...free shuttle to Ft Myers beach.. Marker 92 restaurant is onsite...

Thx Westin for your excellent service! Specially to E.J. from reception!!! He know really what are the words: Customer Satisfaction!!! The rooms are very clean! The food in Restaurant excellent!!! Stayed here for 2 days, a week after the hotel became a Westin.

There were some starting trouble, the TV in the living room did not work, and had some problems with the telephone. but that were minor details.

Was upgraded to a one bedroom suite, which was very nice. Had a fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer. The suite was very quiet.

Chose breakfast as welcome gift. The breakfast was great, good service and very good food.

One downside of this hotel is the location. It is a bit far from everything. Having a car is IMHO essential.

So to the bad stuff: We stayed a "Best rate guarantee" rate, and it took over a month to get:

a) to pay the right amount (they insisted that I had a prepaid rate, which I did not. Maybe I should have let them win that war...)
b) get the stay credit to my spg account
c) get the correct amount of starpoints.

A lot of email back and forth, as they clearly did not know the spg rules regarding that kind of rate. Some training, please. Will be back in August, and I hope there are some improvements in that area!

I was worried about this hotel because of it's location off the beaten path, however in order to see all the nearby attractions (Sanibel island, Manatee park, etc.) one need a car anyway. It is located within 1/2 hour drive from all those places but it makes up for it by being absolutely the cleanest and most luxurious Westin I have ever stayed in.
As Gold SPG members we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite that feels more like an upscale apartment. Staff was extra nice and helpful, parking is free. The pool was nice and the view from the balcony was gorgeous. There is no beech but all the attractions you are probably going to visit will have beach access. Enjoy it, We would not hesitate to stay there again.
