We chose this hotel to stay before getting on a Royal Carribean cruise because of it's location. The price was right for the location. We arrived after 9:00 pm and had let them know in advance. The hotel was completly booked so I thought it would be a good idea. There were probably 4 different events going on w/ high school kids everywhere. The hotel is really large. Check in was easy and we were placed in a room way in back. You'd never know there were events taking place. The rooms are a bit outdated and the place could use a paint job . The showers are small, but they have very nice amenites. Big closet and hallway w/ microwave/fridge/sink. The room itself was fine. The bed was comfy and everything was clean. We also visited the bar and took a bottle of wine back to the room to enjoy w/ our pizza. Since we checked in too late for dinner the front desk gave us a delivery menu from Papa Vito's. That was probably one of the very best pizza's we've ever had. I'd go back just for that !!!
They have a free shuttle service to the port which we signed up for but then we took a cab instead of waiting w/ the masses.
It was only $10 and we had a very entertaining visit with the driver.
The staff was great and although we just needed a spot to spend the nite I think it was worth the price...slightly over $100. If you are cruising from Carnival, Disney or RC this is a very handy spot. They have a big nice pool if you have time to use it.

My wife and myself along with my son and girlfriend spent the night at the Raddison prior to a cruise. The hotel had been mentioned frequently on the Cruise Critic web site with good feed back.

The Raddison has a pre check in on their web site which I used. We arrived at 5:00pm and the rooms were ready. Check in took all of 2 minutes. The rooms were clean and prepared. The rooms had sleep number beds which worked, but the hand sets were a bit tired and you had to really press to make it work.

We had breakfast at the in house restaurant and it was a brunch for $9.99. Adequate.

Check out was also a breeze, took less than 5 minutes.

The stay was a pleasant experience and I would recommend it to others.

My husband and I stayed here one night before our cruise, as do many people, for the fact of the perfect location! I reserved a two room whirlpool suite for the $189 price.

When we arrived, there was a busload of people getting off and I was worried that it would take forever to check-in. No worries! The people from the bus had to check in with one person as a group, so there were plenty of other front desk people to help me.
This process went totally smooth and the girl helping me was GREAT!

When I opened the door to the room, I knew it would be a good stay. I could see the Carnival and Disney cruiseships right out my window, it was spotlessly clean, exactly what I reserved and expected. The room had a small kitchen, dining table, couch, TV, and great curtains that blacked out the room . The bedroom had the shower/bathroom, whirlpool, another window with curtains that black out the room and the sleep number bed. Bed was comfortable the way it was and after playing with it for a little bit, it's just too darn loud to monkey around with.

The night we stayed, there was a wedding reception poolside, so there was a 3 piece band playing out there. Don't know if that is normal. The bartenders out there were fun and very good at their jobs.

The pool is beautiful. Didn't use it, but tested the water - it was WARM!

Our room included breakfast buffet in the morning. When we went down, there was quite a line to get seated, but it didn't take very long. The buffet isn't all that huge, but everything was there and it stayed fresh since it was smaller. Fruit, omelet station, french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuts and cereals.

We both loved this hotel for a pre-cruise stay. I would stay here even without a cruise vacation planned!

“Comfortable”

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The only problem is that it was very loud outside in the hallway. We had just finished a long day of travelling and wanted to get some sleep before leaving for our cruise and the music and screeming outside our door lasted until at least 2 am.

Other than that the pool is great and the staff are very polite and helpful. The buffet that is included in the room rate is not great. The shuttle to the cruise ship comfortable.

We really thought that this was an excellent way to start our holiday!

We booked an $89 room for one night before our cruise and were given a room near the pool. We found the room in need of attention. The hot water faucet wouldn’t turn, the toilet didn’t flush properly, a lamp missing a light bulb, etc. The front desk sent a repair person right away. He said he had to come back with some parts, so we decided to get something to eat. When we came back, we were supposed to call him but we decided to take a nap instead. Shortly after trying to fall asleep after a long day of travel from Pennsylvania, we were awakened by loud music from the pool area. I called the front desk to complain and they were very understanding. They changed our room immediately to their newly renovated wing which is quite far from all the noise. The new room was lovely and everything in working order. The sleep number bed was good, but not great. Later, we took a stroll back to the pool and enjoyed the live music and beauty of the water falls. There’s even a little bridge that overlooks the falls & pool. Quite romantic. Then, we had a nice bite to eat at the Italian restaurant next door. So, even though we were off to a rough start, our stay at Radisson at Port Canaveral ended happily. The next morning, we took their free shuttle to our ship and sailed into the sunset.
