I suggest this hotel, great location for visiting Nasa Center. Clean and peaceful room, wide bath . Breakfast excellent (waffels maker!). Staff very polite.

My wife and stayed here for one night on 8/7/08. The hotel was
very clean, comfortable , quiet and up to date. I decided to stay here based on some of the very nice reviews I've read on it and they were very close to accurately giving a good picture of this hotel...very nice and attentive staff also.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2008

Our family stayed at the Country Inn & Suites (CI&S) on July 19,2008. We stayed there the night before our Disney cruise. I was concerned that there would be a lot of traffic due to a satellite launch so I wanted the closest hotel to the port. The launch was scrapped. The CI&S and the Radisson are almost on top of each other. We considered the Radisson but CI&S was a better deal with the parking option.

For $159 (plus tax), we were able to leave our car at CI&S and shuttle over to the port. The shuttle driver was knowledgeable and we had no problems with him picking us up after the cruise. The shuttle was free ( unlike the Radisson that wanted $6 a per person each way). From my internet research, this is the best deal for parking a car when going to the port. It is best to get there early, they have a shuttle registration form. You register for what time shuttle you plan to take. Ours ran every 30 minutes.

The hotel itself appears somewhat new. Despite the large numbers of families, it was quiet. We stayed in the back on the 2nd floor. This was helpful because the elevator gets really busy and crowded when everyone his trying to get his/her bags to the lobby for the shuttle. We were able to walk our bags down a flight of stairs.

The rooms are small. They seem smaller than a standard hotel room. Since it was only one night it was workable; however, I would not spend several days at this hotel with kids. It was larger than our cruise room. We brought some of our bags into the hotel. We left some in the car because it was easier to take them to the shuttle that way. We had an overnight bag for the hotel room.

There was a great breakfast in the morning. This is included. There were eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, breads, coffee, waffles, etc. Something for everyone. It was nice not to worry about breakfast.

The kids played in the pool. This is a normal hotel pool.

Great hotel for going on a cruise. I don't if I would choose this hotel for an extended vacation. It is not on the beach and you would have to drive to the beach. The rooms seem small.

It is near some port restaurants so that was nice. We ate at Fishlips.

As a Gold Points Plus member I decided I would finally use some of my points for accomodation on a vacation with my whole family. That worked out great, and we (a Norwegian family with two teenagers) ended up paying only 20 USD pr. night pr. room. Upon arrival the lovely girl at the reception had gone trough the bookings for the day, and found out about my membership, and upgraded us to a suite. That was just wonderful. The room was clean and spacious, and they had a laundry that worked as well. The complimentary breakfast was simple, but still more than the usual continental you get everywhere and very tasty. They added scrambled eggs and bacon, so for us who are not that fond of sweet croissants and jam in the morning this was perfekt. The staff at check inn was as I already mentioned absolutely fantastic, and that goes for the ones working in the breakfast room in the morning as well. Nothing got empty. As soon as it started to be just a little less juice, eggs, bacon or bread, the guys watching, would see it and refill. Hardly ever seen people that effective before. Not even in much more luxurious hotels.
The pool was great, and so was the jacuzzi. The pool opening hours were also great. The location is also great if you want to go to Kennedy space center as we did. You should arrive by car though, but the staff probably know a way to get there without a car as well, as the earlier mentioned lady at the reception knew about everything that was to know about the place. And she was really so friendly and helpful. I am just sorry I forgot to write down her name. I could easily have stayed longer than the two nights we stayed. Great stay.

This was a nice hotel: clean, comfortable, and quiet. We stayed here because they offered a shuttle to Port Canaveral and free parking during the cruise. Everyone at the front desk was very helpful. I appreciated the free cookies. The breakfast was above average for a free hotel breakfast. The shuttle to the cruise was a little disorganized, but they were running behind because of the drawbridge, so I don't think it was the hotel's fault. Getting back to the hotel from the port was very easy. (That might have been because we waited until the latest we could to disembark).

  • Liked — Convenience to the port
  • Disliked — Stressful shuttle boarding

We orginally had reservations at the near by Royal Mansions resort. We left there after one night because of ...

Our stay at the Country Inn was great. The front desk staff, especially Eric was very helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained.

We stayed there for three nights while visiting the KSC and friends who live on Merritt Island. As an added bonus we were fortunate enough to see a unmanned rocket luanch from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Base.

We really enjoy staying away from the hustle and bustle of Cocoa Beach. The Country Inn's rates were about half of those charged next door at the Residence Inn. About the only difference we could discern between the two properties was the quality of the breakfast...the Marriott's was much better, just not $100 better...

Family flew down from Baltimore with3 young kids. Didn't know what to expect. I booked by using trip advisors comments. We were planning on staying 1 night post cruise. We got a nice clean room. The kids loved the pool area which the pool was heated. Hotel even supplied towels in pool area. Very family friendly the continental beakfast was the best. They really had a large selection. I save $$ just on that. We liked the hotel so much we booked it for another day after the cruise. Stayed at 5 star hotels this was there. Will stay again. GREG
