5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

The rooms were nice, and my kids loved the pool and continental breakfast. Conveniently located near beaches and Kennedy Space Center. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

The two nights before we left on a Disney bahamas cruise we (11 of us in 3 families) stayed at the Residence Inn. We wanted a hotel that was close to the ship, in a clean hotel with a friendly staff that would put us near each other. The Residence Inn was all that and more. When we next plan a cruise out of Port Canaveral we will definitely rebook with this hotel!!!

We spent 2 nights, one night pre-cruise and one night post, at this wonderful hotel. The staff throughout the hotel was extremely friendly and wanted to make sure our stay was perfect and it was. The women that worked in the breakfast room were so kind and considerate when they learned we were from Boston as the Marathon bombing had happened while we were away. We appreciated their kind words.

We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite which was fantastic. We had so much room to spread out. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was great too! I don't have a bad thing to say about this hotel and will definitely stay here again if we cruise from Cape Canaveral.

This is a nice Marriott facility. At check-in the staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Breakfast is good, lots of variety. However, there were LOTS of children. The breakfast room was packed to overflowing - standing room only. Lots of loud, crying, squealing kids everywhere. Had to stand in line to get any food; some people were a bit aggressive and pushy. Kids were up, running around and yelling. Not a swell way to start the day.

The hotel itself appears to be newish (or very recently updated); is very clean, nice kitchenette (loud fridge). Sheets are lacking. They feel cheap and are itchy. Bed is decent (not great, not bad, just average). The bathroom has a good-sized vanity, plenty of room for your items. Shower has good water pressure. A/C is quiet and works well.

There are noise problems here. We asked for an upper level room, instead were put on 2nd floor right near the elevator and could hear elevator until late into the evening. Can hear upstairs guests and again more crying kids (until near midnight), banging and rattling above us. Walls are a bit thin apparently. Lots of noise from the pool area too. Unless you enjoy the constant noise (or have kids), I'd ask for a top floor room, away from the pool, away from the elevator. This an acceptable hotel for a pre-cruise stay. I would not stay here long-term (more than 1-2 nights). They do have the stay, park, cruise option available.

This is Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral area. This is a tourist area to the max. Hotels further down the strip (in Cocoa Beach) are more expensive, many of them are DUMPS. So read TripAdvisor and YELP reviews and plan accordingly (the #1 rated hotel, LaQuinta on the beach was not pleasant).

Pros:
1) Staff was very friendly, helpful
2) Good breakfast (hot items, cereal, waffles - pretty much everything you could think of)
3) Park and cruise option avail
4) Decent clean room at fair price

Cons:
1) Away from main Cocoa Beach strip (and consequently beach)
2) LOTS of loud children everywhere
3) Quality of linens is substandard
4) Thin walls: can hear elevators, other guests above and below us, toilets flushing, housekeeping in hall.

Value: 4/5
Noise: 4/5
Room: 3/5
Breakfast: Quality 4/5 (while it was busy, they ran out of some food and the next batches came out undercooked).
Noise: 5/5 (horrific)
Seating: 2/5 (no tables left when we came down at 9 a.m.)

Room Tip: Ask for TOP floor, away from elevator and away from pool unless you enjoy the sound of kids 24/7.

I have used this property twice and will continue using when working in this area. The staff is friendly and the service outstanding. The evening reception and morning breakfast are very nice and convenient for the business travelers.

Stayed 2 nights in a very comfortable king suite on the 3rd floor near the elevators. Very quiet - could not hear elevators or other guests. Wonderful staff was always very helpful and friendly. Nice pool and poolside bar. Breakfast exceeded my expectations - delicious hot buffet items were included. I almost stayed at the Courtyard Cocoa Beach but they were full - but I got a better room with breakfast included here. Public beach access is an easy 5 minute drive away. I will definitely stay here again during my next trip.

We had 5 woman going on a cruise with Royal Caribbean out of Cape Canaveral. We got a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite at the Residence Inn for $265. for the night. This price included a great breakfast for all five of us, parking for the week for two cars and transportation to & from the hotel to the cruise ship (we had to pay an additional $6.00 for transporting the 6th person). The transportation to the ship was via a full size bus. We were to catch the bus at 12:00 and we were on the ship and eating lunch a little before 1:00. This was a great place to stay- convenient, very clean, great room and good breakfast. We had stayed at another location previously to go out of the same port and this was by far much better. Having a bus enabled them to take all the passengers at the same time to the port. I would definitely recommend staying at the Residence Inn.
