“Spring Training 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

Stayed at this Residence Inn from Feb. 23rd through March 1st for a Nationals spring training and golf trip. There was a launch scheduled for March 1st at Cape Canaveral to resupplying the ISS and the hotel was populated by Spacex employees and Air Force brass. Quite interesting to watch some of the smartest people in the world eating breakfast while their noses were in their laptops! Speaking of breakfast, it was excellent. Good choices which were constantly being resupplied and the area kept clean by a friendly, smiling staff. Our room had two bedrooms and the maid service did a thorough cleaning every day. Room was comfortable and quiet at night. Looking forward to coming back next year.

We are privilidged to have some of the smartest people in the world staying with us working on space launches as well as many other space and defense related projects! We have heard some great stories.

A really nice hotel with excellent friendly staff (especially Van the chef - what a legend!). The hotel is generally used by a mixture of NASA staff/contractors and people staying the night before they go on a cruise, but the area is well worth a stay in its own right: it's close to NASA (which is amazing) and Cocoa Beach itself is a nice old fashioned beach town. The breakfast was really good with everything cooked fresh and a good variety of choices. The pool was really nice for a long stay hotel. The rooms are great for families, with a separate living space and everything is very clean. If you want a quieter stay near to Orlando then the Residence Inn is a good choice!

Thank you for taking the time to comment about our hotel and our excellent staff! I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us! I will be sure to pass on your comments about our breakfast attendant - Vander. He was voted #1 breakfast attendant out of 650 Residence Inn by Marriott hotels. We are proud to have him as well as the rest of our fine employees. Please come stay with us again!

Nice rooms, close to port which is a plus. Staff is very courteous. Hotel is very clean, breakfast was really good and gave a nice variety. Usually hesitant about the free breakfast offering, but not this one! Food was fresh and hot, kitchen seemed to rotate well and bringing out fresh was really nice to see. Egg sandwich was a nice kick start to my morning, giving me a healthy option is e en better!!

Thank you for your comments about our Residence Inn Cape Canaveral. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. I know that breakfast can be a bit busy at "complimentary" breakfast buffets but I think our staff does an excellent job at keeping everything fresh and fully stocked. I am so glad to hear such great remarks. Thank you and we hope to see you again!

I always like staying at Residence Inn, and this one hasn't changed my mind. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and location is great. I stayed for a week on business. The hotel is very heavy with tourists due to the cruise port being across the street. So if tons of children running around bothers you, you won't avoid it here. At times this causes difficulty finding peace and quiet, but I just think if you stay here you have to accept that. Outside of that, breakfast is excellent and I particularly should point out the breakfast staff, they are the friendliest and most supportive I have seen at a Marriott property.

We stayed there prior to our cruise to the caribbean. We were promptly greeted upon arrival by the front desk staff with a cheerful hello, smile and offer to assist. Grounds were clean, well kept both inside and out. Pool area clean, lots of lounge chairs as well as tables and chairs. There is a pool bar open in the aftenoon and evening. When we walked into the room it smelled awesomely clean and fresh and we found the room to be just that. Breakfast each morning was excellent and different each day as well which was nice. Food hot and tasted good too. Bed comfortable and was quiet for sleeping. Was offered transportation to the ship, but we had car rental with transportation, front desk made sure we knew where to locate our rental office. Was close to the port. We love to stay at Residence Inn's to have the extra room to spread out. Will definately stay again.

We,a family of four, stayed at this property February 9th for just one night. The property looks like it's nearly new.I inquired and learned that it had just been recently re-modelled. The property has everything one needs to relax and make oneself at home.We had the 1 bedroom king. The kids slept on the fold-out queen sofa.Note.The door between the main room and the bedroom closes and locks.Parents with young children may now say 'thank you'.Privacy is important when on vacation.
A full kitchen, stocked with dishes and silverware as well as a microwave, coffee maker and much more, makes for economy with a Publix supermarket just south of the location. The hotel is minutes away from the cruise port. Also, just up the road is NASA.If one is doing ONLY the Orlando theme parks, the location is a bit distant (about one hour) BUT if time is being split between several activities, the location is perfect. The pool lounge chairs are in good repair and are clean,if not new or near new.The pool is crystal clear and adequate. It won't win any awards for being a kiddie fun zone.Just a pool. The whirlpool is just a tad over lukewarm.I know it's a matter of preference but I prefer them HOT.Also, more force from the jets would be nice. There are pool towels supplied. Also, the deck sports a separate area with tables, chairs a bar complete with a friendly bartender AND a huge, new firepit with chairs spaced around it.Very nice touch.
Smoking is allowed anywhere outside.
When we were there, the deck was quiet with a few people sitting at the bar and chatting quietly. It didn't seem to be 'the place for outta control kids' thank God.
Spring Breakers need to go somewhere else since this not a beachside hotel.
There is a full hot breakfast buffet. The hotel does not have a restaurant license so it's all brought in and heated on the spot.Filling, nutritious and a lot of variety.
The hotel has a small business center as well as a tiny convenience store. There is a guest lounge with a large flatscreen TV.
All rooms have premium cable TV.
My complaints are small.Not really even complaints,really,just items;

Increase the heat and temp in the whirlpool.

Stop charging four to five dollars for a domestic beer at the bar.

Have a few DVD players on hand at the front desk for check-out.

Room Tip: If you want to go to the beach, make sure you have your Residence Inn parking pass displayed on your...
