Went once a few months back, late in the day, and they did not have much in the way of pastry but I did try one with a cup of cappuccino and liked it very much. Been telling my husband about it, so this morning, we drove the 17 miles to see if they had a better selection this time.
So glad we went early, as they had a full and varied selection of pastries. We asked what came out of the oven last and the sweet girl behind the counter directed us to two yummy fried croissants. I know that sounds fattening, you know it must be... but I tell you, it was SO good.
There is just a few tables and an counter (bar type) to enjoy their fresh baked goodies. You can watch them bake through the large glass that separates the cafe part from the kitchen.
One of the owners came out and asked how we liked our breakfast, we said we enjoyed what we had, but would love to see some chocolate or cream cheese inside that croissant. He went into the back and hooked us up with just that!
It had just the right amount of not so sweet Italian cream cheese inside, with a light coat of milk chocolate on top. Custom made. It was AMAZING. Too bad we ate the whole thing.
All told, we had four cups of cappuccino made right, two fresh from the oven croissants, and one stuffed croissant... $20
They deliver bread and pastries to many area restaurants. So glad they are retail as well as wholesale.
We'll be back again... but first we're off to the gym!!
