If you are interested in watching history relived then this is a must see if you reside in / or are visiting the central-gulf coast of Florida. The reenactors take their roles very serious, they dress in period attire, live in campsites modeled after and provisioned with accoutrements you would find in the early 1800's. We had a great time, there is plenty to do before and after the battle which lasts about 45 mins. There were shopkeepers selling everything from coonskin caps to walking sticks, food vendors and people displaying their talents in trades like handmade boat building and weaving.
I learned alot about early Florida history and how this battle played a pivital role in it. The battle is well narrated in real time, you can feel yourself slipping back in time finding yourself on the battlefiled and feeling the somberness and despair that the soldier felt as they lost all.
