“The empty parking lot should have tipped us off”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

We thought the empty parking lot was because it was a Tuesday night at 9:00. Little did we know.

The server was polite and friendly, although sort of goofy. Too help her clear the table after appetizers and wine, she turned the wine glass upside down on the table paper, spilling wine onto the paper.

The non-pasta menu choices were limited.

The ledge above the booth was covered with dust.

The food quality and taste was poor at best.

“Ok, nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Three people in my party, three different entrees, one looked good (salmon), one was ok (cheese ravioli), and one was downright nasty; chicken parmesan - the guy eating it ate less than a third out of pure hungriness, and said it tasted like it had been left out for a week and reheated. Service was ok for food, VERY slow for drinks. Only good thing I can say was the the Caesar salad was great, as was the desert I tried ( a lemon cake/cream thing).
Would not eat here again.

“Nice place to dine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

Like the menu and service. The vocalist was a nice touch to the ambiance. A good place to dine with family.

“Falling Over the Cliff”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

We recently thought we'd try Macaroni Grill again after about an 18 month hiatus for poor service. We won't go back again. We sat at the bar. The service was friendly enough, but took 30 minutes to receive our appetizer, which was not even hot. I'd like to point out that the restaurant was not busy on a Saturday night. No wait for seating. The female bartender on duty tried to engage us in a dispute with another customer. The most disturbing thing was the view of the inner workings of the bar. The beer tap had about three filthy bar towels draped under the tray that catches over-pour. Directly in front of me was a large vase that held some fruit that was used for the bar. The vase was cloudy with grimy, smudgy, greasy residue. The female manager on duty to whom I reported these observations was very nonchalant. She did remove the vase, but the gross towels remained. Really, if there is an overflow problem and you are waiting for repair, use one clean, neatly folded towel and replace as needed. I shudder to think of what the kitchen is like.

“An authentic experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012 via mobile

For a chain restaurant they have captured the authentic mood and flavor of being in Italy. The food is very different from the standard American /Italian restaurant. Great service, good value, and a flavor that will bring you back for more. You will enjoy
