My husband and I wanted to get away for a couple of days, so we drove an hour and a half away to Anna Maria Island because we had never been there before and decided to wing it and find a place once we arrived, we found this and got a pretty good price considering how much the hotel/motels were in the area ( all a bit overpriced in my opinion), anyway, being greeted by a new employee, named Kristin, who was doing a very good job, showed us the room which we decided to take. It was clean. We got a 3rd floor room which gave us a view of the gulf, which was nice when the weather cooperated. There was a heated pool, but again, the weather didn't cooperate, but I did notice a handicap chair that was attached to the side of the pool to lower people into the pool, which I thought was a very nice touch for persons needing that apparatus. The other thing is there was a trolley stop in front of the hotel and it was only a few blocks away from Bridge street which has restaurants and bars and shops, a nice walk, weather permitting AGAIN:) And they have a private beach across the street also....
The main problem I had was the bed, it was so uncomfortable that I slept for about 3-4 hours then woke to a sore back and couldn't go back to sleep, I wanted to go home at that point, but we had paid for two nights so I went to the office to ask if possible we could leave, long story short, they offeered to get a topper and better pillows from their sister hotel , so I said ok, it was better, I got a few hours sleep again and normally sleeping is NOT a problem for me, so with that said, I have learned my lesson, when checking a room before checking in for the night, I will check the bed. They were friendly and of course didn't want us to leave, so they tried to accomodate, but I think they should consider looking into checking on new mattresses..

Room was very clean for a small 2-3 * hotel. We were surprise with nice clean room. When we stayed at this hotel it was cool in Bradenton (60s). So we could not use the beach either the pool. We tried to get in the pool but it was cold. We stayed one of the patio rooms. Our car was right in front of the room. I cannot say it was quite because we heard everybody in the parking lot and the pool. We had plenty of dishes coffee and cook wear . Refrigerator and microwave were clean and nice. Bed was small but we had extra bed in the room. There were some restaurants but not a good breakfast place. So we had breakfast in our room. Beach is at the other side of a road. It was a nice small beach. It would be nice if it was warm weather. Overall it is a nice hotel for the prize. Especially if you are staying with kids and spending a week or more.

Stayed here for the first time this past weekend. Got a great deal at $88 for the Studio Aparto. Ground floor with a small table and chairs out front. We had a Queen bed, double Murphy bed and a ful kitchen. Room was clean and the office staff were very nice. Only complaints - layout is a little tough when the Murphy bed is down, but we put it up each morning. And the AC blows right on the bed, needs some type of redirection. If you're expecting the Hilton this isn't it. Tile floors get sandy, old style tile bathroom. But what you do get is old style Florida. Lots of light, a window in the bathroom, and alot of beach amenities. Jety skis, catamarans, beach chairs(free), umbrellas(free), beach towels(free), nice pool area. This section has some of the best snorkeling. Rocks, fish, rays, all feet off the beach.

My boyfriend and I picked the Silver Surf Gulf Beach Resort for a short 1 night stay. Price was great. Rooms very clean. Staff was very helpful and kind. We had a beautiful view of the Gulf and we were just walking min. away from the beach. Sand was white and powdery soft. The water was crystal clear and at a good temperature! The hotel was not far from restaurants/bars and shopping. A very quaint beautiful town. I cant wait to go back!
