We have always liiked the Island Creperie as a little bit of France in Holmes Beach. We hadn't visited in a few months, and were very disappointed. We had always looked forward to a delicious glass of French wine. French wine, yes. Delicious - not any more. They have fancied up the decor - which it didn't need (in fact it looks less like a little French bistro now) added some things to the menu- not a bad idea - and raised the prices tremendously. My fish with lobster sauce and ratatouille was very good, but way overpriced. Escargot were swimming in something which seemed only partly butter. Coffee was excellent. I guess my big complaint was the wine - just wasn't as good as it used to be, we tried two house red bourdeaux and one white - none were acceptable. Unfortunately we won't go back.
