“Bridge over Happy Waters”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

Three Floors up overlooking Bradenton Beach. The Bistro has great outdoor seating, but unfortunately too windy on the evening my wife and I went. We both had grouper, excellent food. This is a white table cloth kind of place, a little too fancy for my beach vibe, but I'd come back for the view. Looking for a romantic spot on the beach that won't break the bank, Bridge Street might be the spot

“Overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

The view is fantastic but that's all. Reserved a table during the day but when we arrived there was no table designated to us, we were put in the corner. Asked to be moved when we saw another table available. Ordered a risotto and found pasta in it. The food was delivered so fast you almost suspected it was microwaved. The service and quality of the food doesn't live up to the white tablecloths and price. Better to eat downstairs were you get what you pay for. (I`m sure its the same kitchen anyway)

“Exceptional in all respects!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

We just celebrated our anniversary at Bridge Street Bistro and can honestly say that it was a great experience in every way. When I made the reservation I had mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and everyone there was so lovely in congratulating us as we entered and made sure the evening was just right. The food was great, the oysters in particular were wonderful and at the end of the dinner the waiter very quietly came by with a slice of cheesecake with a candle in it to congratulate us. The service was done with finese and respect.
I am so glad we chose this restaurant. We definitely will be back.

“Food Great... Parking Stinks!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Had a 7:30 reservation on a Saturday night, and although there is controlled parking, we could not find an empty spot. We were told by the attendant to just stand by and be patient, and he was sure a spot would open momentarily. After 15 minutes of waiting, I was parked in a spot usually reserved for management... much thanks to the attendant. Fortunately, our dining companians had found parking elsewhere, and were seated before we got there, so we were shown to our table immediately.

The server was prompt and attentive, and drink refills never had to be requested. Two of us enjoyed the Mahi special, while the other two had the potato encrusted Grouper. All of the dishes were perfectly prepared. The four of us shared a berry cobler dessert, de-cafe cappacinos all around, and we all left quite satisfied with an exceptional dining experience.

Other than parking, my only other negative comment would be the noise level in the restaurant. We expected the downstairs bar area to be noisy on a Saturday night, but the restaurant was noisy enough to be quite distracting. Not sure what can be done about that, but it would be a factor in my decision to return. Not sure whether the good food trumps lousy parking and high noise.

“Great night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Saw the reviews and had to try. We were lucky to be able to get a seat outside and could not have been happier. The food was terrific and service was just as good.
