“Very pleased!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Hotel was very clean, well-kept grounds, comfortable rooms, and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced; breakfast buffet was an added plus- much more than is usual in hotel chains. Would definately stay again.

Yes we got bed bugs, had to change rooms at 2:30 in the morning, and shower to get the critters off us. So we spent part of the next day washing our clothes in hot water. The manager was nowhere to be found -- he was off that day. Didn't even get the refund we deserved. But wait, that's not all. The carpets are all stained, the rooms smell, and the breakfast bananas are old and black. The pool was not unlocked until nearly two hours after the announced opening time. Want to save money? Sleep on the beach instead.

My family was in town to plan and attend our loved one's funeral and we wanted to stay somewhere that was convenient, reasonably price and nothing to fancy. The hotel desk representative was not personable and was slow to assist us when we first walked in. The hallway was dim lit and very dirty with trash littered on the floor. Upon opening the door to our room, the air conditioning was off and the mildew, musty smell of the room was overbearing. We called maintenance three times to "fix" the air and throughout the course of the night the air was kept turning off. The TV remote needed new batteries so had to call the front desk again. After showering in the morning, we realized that the outlet in the bathroom did work at all. The breakfast was a variety of stale cereal and stale bagels. It was a very frustrating stay after a difficult past couple of days losing a loved one. As we checked in so late we stayed the night but the first thing we did after the "breakfast" was CHECK OUT and go to the Hampton Inn!

Stayed here for one night while driving South and was very pleased with my stay and overall experience.

Pros:

Reasonable rate.
Included breakfast was adequate. (Bread, muffins, donuts, yogurt, egg, bacon, etc)
Clean, secure and comfortable rooms.
Parking included.
Friendly staff
Restaurants and shopping within 5 mins drive.

Small Con:
No safe in room.

Overall an excellent short stay in a good hotel, will return!

Also very close to the I-95 for continuing your journey.

The recently renovated inn has reasonable rates with a very nice workout room and pool, a fairly decent continental breakfast, and a free computer to use in the lobby. The location was very good just off the Boynton Beach Boulevard exit off the 95. Plenty of restaurants in the area.

Probably wouldn't stay in this hotel again - when I checked in, there were girls who were likely prostitutes walking around in the parking lot. I didn't feel very safe but hey, at least we got a great rate for the room! I had to call 3x to book a room (couldn't do it online because we had a group rate) and I was put on hold for several minutes and had to keep calling back. When I finally checked in, there was no one else around but the front desk person decided munching away on her crackers was more important than taking my credit card and giving me the room key.

The hotel is not close to the beach but right off the highway - so maybe it's a good location for some and not others. The hallways were dark and not cleaned and I was frightened every time I took the elevator, scared it would not make it to the third floor. The breakfast left much to be desired. I am still perplexed at how we were served eggs in the shape of a rectangle. There were some midget-sized bagels, waffles and a nasty orange juice and apple juice machine.

The room alternated between freezing and extremely warm and the temperature controls were not helpful. Beds were ok and they correctly called me when I asked for a wake-up call so kudos for that.

They have a 48 hour cancellation policy. This was inconvenient for us because as we didn't know how long we were staying. I understand this is their policy so beware. After one night, because our son was staying in town another day, we decided to stay another night. Called first thing in the morning after night one, and after previously being told it looked like lots of availability for the second night, that said sold out. We did manage to fill a cancellation later in the day and they jacked the room price $20. "Oh we only have two rooms left so the rate is higher". We were in a different room the second night. At the top end of the building room 426 – beware no wifi. Our iPads would not pick up a signal in the room as it is too far away from the signal. The toilet ran continuously. But it was the "I don't care" attitude upon checkout that prompted me to write the review. We had no altercation upon checkout, I only explained the deficiencies and was met with shrugs and I don't care. Charge us more for the second night, don't care about making us feel heard and welcome. I have a saying (we are Canadian) – the Americans have a way of taking our money and making us feel good. Not this hotel.

Room Tip: Top floor pool side rooms are quietest. But our end room had no wifi as it was too far away from the...
