We went to Doc's for lunch and it was on a Wednesday, so there was not any long waits for the food or the table. They actually valet your vehicle even though parking is 10 feet to the door wherever you park' but it looks as though they want to control the tourists who park at the restaurant to go to just the beach. Doc's is not a place to go to be impressed with ambiance, to expect the finest dining experience or have the world's greatest meal. It is a small diner that screams 1970's from the looks of it; the sandwiches were on average $8- I had the triple decker blt with Lays potato chips & bud light; my wife had a chicken soft taco with a michelob ultra light and my son had the fries and chicken (which was very hot-but it just told me it was cooked) and our tab with tip came to about $40 ( we tipped $7-our waitress was very friendly and took our 2 year old and my wife out in the courtyard to show them some dragonfly's). Doc's is not going to be a destination you will forever talk about-it is more of a fort myers beach/bonita springs experience. Food is average, price a little high, good service and a nice open air eating experience. We would go back again just because it supports the local dining.
