“Great out of the way resort in Naples area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

Went with my wife for two nights last month. Place is immaculate, lazy river a lot of fun, a fishing charter with lots of small mangrove snapper, (take the group charter for $75 per person) since their is a good chance that you may be the only ones on board, which makes it a private charter!)

A minute drive to the Hyatt on the beach with a boardwalk to the marina where a boat will take you to a really special island to lay back for a few hours. (I even brought my fishing rod for a few casts!) Nice fancy restaurant at the Hyatt (pricey but good) an a few miles down 441 for Mel's Diner, where you are back in the 1950's with good food that will not hurt your wallet and a lot of fun. We did not get to Naples, but many of you will certainly want to do it. We have been there too many times to count!

A good two days on the west coast of Florida

Room Tip: Every condo is great.

We have stayed at this timeshare several times now, and it is a place we want to go back often. The lazy river is the main attraction to this resort--young or old, this lazy river is both fun and relaxing. Choose to sip drinks as you coast along the warm, sun-kissed river or zip around the kids do. The resort feels less like you are in Florida and more like a Hawaiian getaway with the décor and the tropical-shaded huts to the lazy river that is surrounded by lush landscape and tropical music. In addition to the lazy river, there are two huge pools and one waterfall and an adults only pool, but I tend to forget about that one because there is nothing exciting about it compared to the lower deck area. You don't have to leave this resort, there are bars and restaurants on site. I personally am not a huge fan of the food at this resort, it is overpriced and not that great. Not bad, but I am not a huge fan. I prefer to drive to the main road and pick up food to go and bring it back to the pool. There are plenty of options: Jimmy John's, Tijuana Flats, Chick-Fil-A, pizza and a bunch of other things. We also eat out for dinner-plenty of restaurant choices: Bonefish Grills, California Pizza Kitchen, an Asian Wok place etc. You can also grill right at the resort as they provide grills. There are fun kid activities like "Stuff-Fluff Bears,"
"Tie-Dye Your Own Shirt," and "Sand Art" are just some of the activities. We end up never doing any tours while staying here because we are so relaxed the resort, you don't need to go anywhere. I think Hyatt could upgrade the beds in the guest bedrooms though--they are a little harder and feel like they've been used too much that it is wearing it down and you feel like you sink.

This resort is perfect because it is secluded but just up the driveway is the Coconut Point mall. The resort has so much to offer with the lazy river, adult pool and hot tub, 2 family pools with hot tubs and the opportunity to take the trolley to the hotel to use the waterslide and other pools as well as to take the boat to the private island. The rooms are wonderful with options ranging from studio to 2 bed/2bath. Everything you need is right there and just so very peaceful.

Room Tip: end units offer 2 balconies

My wife and I enjoy the good life when we are on vacation. This hotel has it all. The grounds and pools are elegant with that ultra modern Hyatt touch. The hotel's beach is on a private island. At check in, they offer your choice of champagne or mimosa.

Room Tip: Request gulf view.

Welcomed with a mimosa and knew we had selected the right place to celebrate the end of another long school year. Traveling with two teenagers who also loved the hotel and amenities. Close to a mall, restaurants and excursions to Sanabel, etc, they were never bored and I relaxed. Gorgeous grounds, pools, poolside services and all the towels you could use. Was a bit surprised that smoking allowed at two of the pools leaving the non-smoker to the kids pool area- and there were plenty of smokers. The boat to the private island was great. Room was large, clean. A non-smoking room but it looked like a cigarette burn in the rug next to the bed. Did the Regency Club and well worth it. Not a drinker but the info says "cocktails" but never saw any. Perfect in every way and plan to go back. Staff was very friendly especially the woman in the Regency Club at night. Stayed six days and hated to leave.

Room Tip: We were on the 17th floor and it was great. Is there a bad room?

Beautiful resort and grounds and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean, large, well equipped and much nicer than I ever expected A+.The grounds and pool areas get another A+. Plenty of chairs, towels and pool toys including tubes for the awsome lazy river. Under building parking was plentiful and kept your vehicle cool during your stay. Additional parking outside the building was perfect for our visiting guests A+. The ability to use the Hyatt Regency Hotel amenities was a real nice bonus and the trolley picked us up and dropped us off right on time. My kids loved the pool with the slide and the wait service around the pool was quick and friendly. The hotel entrance was beautiful as was the inside..Very impressive! There are certain times of the year that you cannot use the hotel amenities. A+ again. We did not get a chance to check out the private beach but since we live in Florida and go to the beach a few times a month I don't think we missed out on too much there. Now for the bad news.......The drink prices are atrocious! and you cannot even bring a small cooler near the pool. $7 for a domestic tap beer. $8 for a kids smoothie. This also includes not bringing your own food near the pool either. They caught me 2x so we ate real quick and downed our drinks. Cut those prices in half and they would wind up selling much more and still make a huge profit. Big F on the beverage prices. All in all it was a great Father's Day getaway with my family at a very very nice resort.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor. Nicer view and little quieter. There is an elevator

This was our 4th visit to this Hyatt vacation club, which we believe to be the nicest in the Hyatt chain. Any concerns we had the last time we were here melted away on this trip. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and the pool and lazy river can't be beat. The staff seemed much more friendly and accommodating this time around. It is clear the property manager is ensuring that everything is perfect for your vacation here. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have extra windows and a second balcony
