Location of this hotel is slightly isolated, the nearest place outside the hotel for breakfast that we could find was a Perkins about 3 miles away. The property has all the positives of the Hyatt Regency brand but there were also a few negatives. We felt the daily cleaning of the room was very cursory and the mattresses on the pool beds were left out overnight so that by morning they were wet and smelly. There is a heavy fee for internet use in the business center and, my usual gripe about Hyatt hotels, there is only powder milk for use with the tea/coffee making facilities. Has Mr Hyatt ever tried to drink a cup of tea using powder milk!! This property promised much but fell rather short of our expectations.

We like kids (had a couple of our own!), but had a horrible time at this property.

The web site makes it look like a luxury hotel and spa where you can relax and enjoy many wonderful amenities. During our visit, however, the property was packed with families with small children. Yelling, screaming, playing in the hallways and pool area was only the beginning. They were in the restaurants, lobby, bar, etc. We truly felt like we were on some kind of Disney property where kids rule and parents allow bad behavior.

Even in the room, you could hear kids playing in the hallway and adjoining rooms. The pool was packed with families with children, some of whom were running around playing with squirt guns (and hitting some bystanders).

Blame it on parents for their childrens bad behavior or blame it on hotel staff for allowing this to happen, it really doesn't matter.

Don't go here if you want a relaxing stay at a luxury spa.

I must say that while this is a good hotel, we were not as impressed as others.

We stayed here for 5 days during July in a Regency Club room.

The room was really nice and we found the evening appetizers and drinks adequate. We loved that it was Italian/French inspired and the staff were always very attentive towards the guests.

What we were not so impressed about was the pool area. While it was laid out nice with pool and umbrellas. The area just did not have the feel of a luxury hotel.
There were too few umbrellas and many of the chairs had old bird droppings on them. The waterslide looked worn and tired and some of the staff at the pool had this “I don’t care” attitude. This said there were also some very nice staff members that clearly took their job seriously. One guy that helped our son at the climbing wall really took his time with him. I can’t remember his name, but it was spelled kind of funny. He made the whole holiday for him.

The maintenance came and started cleaning the pool at 9 am when people were starting to gather at the pool- This is a bit odd. Normally luxury hotels will do this early in the morning to avoid disturbing the guests.

Unfortunately the beach was almost eroded away with only like 8 feet of beach, and the water was muddy and brown, but the trip out there was a nice touch.

We usually ate breakfast in the lounge, but tried the buffet downstairs twice. We didn’t like it too much, but maybe we were just spoiled from just arriving from the Marriott Grand Cayman that had an excellent breakfast buffet.

This is a huge hotel and you feel it, this is not an intimate small hotel, but a large well run business with lots of conferences. I must say one thing. As there was a police conference while we were there – I have never felt so safe staying at a hotel. They were everywhere, no need to worry about safety here 

Would I stay here again?? Maybe - The children loved it, but having stayed at the Hyatt in Sharm el Sheikh a couple of times, this was just not in the same league.

The Hyatt wasw very nice. The coffe shop was open 24 hours and had starbucks and an ice cream parlor. the pool was the main event of the trip. There is a waterslide in the adventure pool, it was very fast and fun. there was also a waterfall pool and an adult lap pool. There were two hot tubs next to the pool, one for adults they othere for everybody else. We took the trolly to the other Hyatt. They had many waterfall pools, and a lazy river. The lazy river was nice but people were smoking when I went down it. We also took the boat to the beach. There was nine people in our party and the captin said we could not go on the boat because there was a party of four behind half of our party but in front of the other half they said we would have one person left behind or not go at all. Finally the family of four said we could go, and we all went together. The beach was not much it was just a plain beach with a bathroom and shower in a pavillion. On the boat ride back we saw plenty of dolphins. The food in the hotel was okay, but pricey. a few minutes from the hotel there are some resturants that are less pricey. I will deffinently be coming back to this hotel.

We live in Florida and like to try new hotels. Had 2 rooms here, one through hotel website for and one last minute through priceline. Easily accessible from I-& 75. Pleasantly surprised with free parking in garage. Lobby was beautiful with gorgeous marble floors. Check in was a breeze and our rooms were ready at 11am. Rooms were clean with great decor. Ceiling fan was a nice touch. The toiletries were wonderful. This hotel is a "green" hotel which was nice to see. The grounds are beautiful, pools are great. The waterslide was a lot of fun. The pools were not packed which was nice. Although there was no way of differentiating that we were a guest. There is a trolley to the adjacent Hyatt timeshare which has an awesome lazy river pool. It could use a bit of shade though. Had a drink at the bar in the hotel which was very nice. There is a wooden boardwalk that takes you to a boat to a private island in the Gulf of Mexico. We missed the last boat but heard its great. Dinner at Tanglewood was superb. Our waiter was great with tips and great local advice. Can't say enough wonderful things about this resort....
