“Outstanding getaway!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point for two days while attending a convention. Because of the kid friendly activities that are advertised I brought my 12 year old son for the trip and cannot say enough good things about the excellent staff and location of this resort. I will definitely be bringing the remainder of my family to visit the resort in the summer. Excellent experience!

Beautiful room with modern decor, comfortable bed, great water pressure in shower, impeccably clean room, nice bath products. A bit on the expensive side, but lovely grounds, nice heated pools (including a nice Adults Ony pool and hot tub), easy access via boardwalk to shuttle to private beach or kayak rentals (great for birding and dolphin sightings). Dinner x 2 at Tarpon Bay excellent.

Surrounding area just OK, mostly strip malls all the way down to Naples. But a terrific resort and a great escape.

We loved reading about your recent stay with us! More so that you were able to take a relaxing kayaking trip through Estero Bay and see some of our "wildlife neighbors" as there are always spectacular to see. We certainly hope that you will be back again soon to visit us here in the Sunshine State!

This was my second stay at the Coconut Point. The grounds and pool are lovely, and the service is great. It was nice to have a separate adult pool and hot tub as well as a fun pool for the children. We enjoyed walking the grounds and taking the boat to the private beach island. The room was very nice and clean. I prepared an unintentional test: I threw away my contacts, one missed the can and fell behind it, so I decided to leave it. It was gone the next day. The water pressure and temperature were great. We were next to a service closet and across from the ice machine, but heard no noise at all. If you plan just to stay at the resort, you can and have a wonderful time. If you want to explore though, the location isn't perfect. You have to drive pretty far north or south to get to Fort Myers Beach and Lover's Key. (about 1/2 hour to Lover's Key). Traffic on Rt. 41 gets heavy and slow, so it's hard to gauge how long a trip to Naples might take. Aside from those things, I'd definitely recommend Coconut Point over Ft Myers beach for a quiet, relaxing, beautiful vacation.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent stay! It seems as though you were able to take in the beautiful sites that the hotel provides and relax all at the same time. That story about the contact lens was great to read too! In the non-winter months, it typically take about 20-30 minutes to get to Naples...but during this time of the year (March) it is a little longer. We hope that you will visit us again soon!

My wife, two daughters and I stayed for 4 days in March (Spring break). From the check-in process (and champagne) to the always available and helpful staff, to the delicious food, great pools and ferry to the private island, this place is GREAT! We did see dolphins on two trips to the beach (they actually chase the boat!). Pool water was a little chilly (although it did get into the 40s at night). Location is perfect - close to the airport, Naples, Sanibel, etc). Liked the use of the sister resort although we were surprised to see a charge on the bill for the use. I would HIGHLY recommend this resort to everyone!

We were delighted to read about you & your family's recent visit here to southwest Florida for Spring Break earlier this month. The fact that the dolphins came out to swim along side the boat shuttle is a thrill, and to know that every aspect of your trip was a memorable one make us grin from ear to ear!. We hope that you will come back again next year for your annual Spring Break...or perhaps sooner!

This was our third trip in five years. We love this hotel/resort. This time we upgraded to a suite and the concierge service (breakfast, snacks, etc.). Just spending the day in the lobby is time well spent! It's pretty, it's relaxing, it's unpretentious, it's considerate, it's safe, it's clean, it's beautiful, it has natural surroundings. What else to say? For dining, we typically go to Naples or to some nearby places but we love to hang by the pool for lunch or maybe get bar snacks at the bar. We haven't repeated too many family vacations so the fact that we have been here 3 times and plan on next year says a lot. I haven't visited the spa because the prices just seem well over the top...I'm all for luxury, but it has to be within bounds of reason.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the bay or the pool

The grounds here are amazing. Well kept and beautifully landscaped. The building itself is very nice -- lots of wood and marble and everything is symmetrical. Two great restaurants out back that look out over the landscaping and fountains. The staff here bend over backwards to help you out and are very welcoming. This is not a cheap place to stay, but a very nice place to stay.

We were pleasently suprised by this lovely hotel from the first moment we entered. An impressive entry with grand windows framed the beautiful grounds and the front dest was extremely helpful and attentive. The pool is fantastic (although a bit crowded) with waterslide and walk-in beach entry and the private beach option via a personal hotel ferry was terrific! The rooms were very nice and the beds suprisingly comfortable. Our tween daughter was delighted to find kids young and old dancing to music in the large gathering area one evening after dinner and we all joined in and had a ball! We plan to return again and would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Room Tip: Stay on a higher floor on the water for the best views
