“Great value, great customer service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012 via mobile

Picked us up at the dock of our vacation house, took care of maps, ideas, and options for our day. Even followed a dolphin in our way back home!
Courteous staff, new clean boats. Not sure what the other reviews speaking negatively were about. The boats I had and saw were all newer and maintained well.

Other boat rentals we passed were sketchy at best.

“Beautiful boat rentals and excellent customer service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

After recently renting a boat from Bay Water Boat Rentals, I highly recommend this local Bonita Springs business. Adam and the staff at Bay Water Boat Rentals were extremely helpful. The staff worked diligently to prepare my family for our day on the water. They provided a great tutorial in boating safety, helpful maps of the local waters, and great recommendations in reference to nearby beaches and restaurants. Adam and his staff made themselves available via telephone should we have any questions during our day on the water. Upon arrival, the staff at Bay Water Boat Rentals provided us with a keepsake photo that they had snapped prior to our departure. A+ customer service overall! A+ staff!! and many memories from our day of boating. I highly recommend this local business.

“A Day On The Water”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

The summers in Florida I’ve come to learn are by far scorching hot. My extended family rented a boat from Bay Water Boat Rentals in Bonita for a day of fun in the sun. We were able to rent a pontoon boat and we had it out for the whole day. The staff provided us with the knowledge of water safety, rules and regulations of the water as well as amazing water maps to help us navigate through the waters. We had a blast and I will always recommend Bay Water Boat Rentals to all my friends and family who come down to visit!

“Great Vessel, Fast Service & a Keepsake Photo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Out of the blue I decided to rent a boat for the day. I've lived in the area for over 25 years and have lived on the water in the past. I decided to take a group whose ages ranged from 4 to 50 years. This was a fabulous day. Service was fast, we reserved the boat on the phone, pulled up to the facility, paid for the rental, loaded our boat, took orientation in a speedy fashion. We were motoring away moments later.

The facility is in great condition and check in is dock side in an island style hut so you can see your party loading and such, which was important since we had little people with us. The boat we rented was in great condition, ran like a top, had a radio, too!

In all this was a fabulous experience plus, the weather cooperated so everyone had a good time. The little kids got to see tons of birds, fish, dolphins and such. The boat was easy to maneuver so we pulled ashore and did a little shelling and snorkeling, too.

I'd highly recommend this boat rental establishment.

“BEWARE of THE BAIT and SWITCH!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

Reserved 22' Pontoon #12 on 4/4/2012 (we had rented this Pontoon in March and really liked
this boat) for Wed. 4/11/2012 for a full day. We wanted to rent it on Mon. 4/9/2012 but it was not available and we already had plans for Tues. 4/10/2012 so we rearranged our schedule to be able to rent Pontoon #12 on Wed. 4/11/2012. Our son, daughter-in-law and 2 grand-children were coming to visit us for Easter week and this was going to be one of our outtings. We had done this last year with them and they really were looking forward to doing it again

Arrived at Bay Water Boat Rentals around 9:00am with coolers, food, fishing poles, bait, and
high expectations of a wonderful day of boating and visiting various beaches. When we were
waited on, we were told that "Pontoon #12 had a fire the day before, fuel pump trouble and was
out of commission and not available for rental!" They were substituting a different 22' Pontoon in it's
place. This replacement boat was not even close to the quality of the boat we had reserved and had
put a $200.00 reservation fee on our credit card for. I asked for a newer, nicer boat and Adam (the owner's son and manager) said all boats were rented and this was all that was left. So, there we were
all ready to go, so we really had no alternative, since the boat we had originally rented had caught on
fire the day before and was out of service. We loaded our stuff on the boat and we left the dock
sometime around 9:30am.

Around 1:00pm or so we beached the Pontoon boat at Lover's Key beach and walked up towards the
opening to the Gulf. As we walked along the beach we passed a group of partying boaters who had
set up a nice campsite with a large canopy, coolers, beach chairs, etc. and were playing a game of
washers. I happened to glance to the right at their pontoon and guess what? There beached and
anchored to the shore was the 22' Pontoon #12 Bay Water Boat Rental boat I had rented and put a
deposit down on a week before. Yes, that's right! The same Pontoon boat that earlier that morning
(around 9am) I was told had caught on fire the day before and "was out of commission". I could not
believe my eyes. As we walked on by I asked by daughter-in-law to check out what I just saw and to
please read the number on the back of the boat. Did I really see #12? Yes you did Mom! I was
furious as I had realized I or we had been lied to. Julie went back and started a conversation with
the boaters, commenting on what a nice pontoon they had rented. The wife said yes, "isn't it great".
Julie then asked, "when did you get this boat?" and again the wife replied,"we had it delivered to our
dock this morning". Julie said, "you had it delivered to your dock"? The wife said, "yes, my husband
has connections!" Well, there you go. CONNECTIONS, rented the boat that I had rented and put a
deposit down on a week in advance.

Upon returning to Bay Water Boat Rental dock, I approached Adam regarding what we had seen and
found out regarding Pontoon #12. Adam said, "Pontoon #12 had been delivered at 10:30am"; we left
dock around 9:30am and nothing was said about the boat being repaired and that it would be available at 10:30. There's no way someone could call last minute, and that boat would just happen to have been
fixed (after we left with a piece of junk); have all the supplies that those people had, get to Lover's Key
beach and set up a great camp site and appear to have been "enjoying themselves" in that short period of time! I told Adam that, and his reply to me was "I could have called you yesterday and told you that the boat you rented caught on fire and was out of service" (which he did not do; to give us the option of declining an old junker for the same cost as a new boat or perhaps rescheduling for another day. I wonder why he didn't make that call?) Before I had a chance to reply to that remark, his next statement to me was "you had a boat, didn't you?" Oh yea, we had a boat all right. One with dark
gray carpet screwed into the floor in the center of the beige, dirty and wet carpet on the front deck with
2 hard padded fishing chairs on the front deck. No nicely padded sofas all around the front sides of the
boat, like #12 has. In the rear of the boat there were 4 small 2 seater sections that when you sat on
the seat cushion it would slip out from under you. The boat was not clean and had seen better days. You could tell that this had definetly not been one that they used in their normal fleet of 22' Pontoon
boat rentals. As a matter of fact, this 22' Pontoon #4 boat IS DEFINETLY NOT THE SAME ONE PICTURED ON THEIR WEBSITE. THERE IS NO WAY THEY WOULD ADVERTISE THIS #4 22' PONTOON BOAT WITH PICTURES ON THEIR WEBSITE. AGAIN, THEY HAD PATCHED QUITE A
LARGE AREA OF CARPET WITH AN AWFUL DARK GRAY MATERIAL WHICH THEY HAD SCREWED INTO THE FLOOR MAYBE EVERY 4 OR 5 INCHES, AND IN BETWEEN THE SCREWS
THE MATERIAL WAS CURLING UP. So the reason Adam did not call and give us an option the day
before to cancel because our rental boat "caught on fire" is he rented our really nice, newer #12 Pontoon to Mr. Connections (probably for a profit since it was "delivered") and also rented us a dry dock junker for the full price as a nice boat is rented for! Win, Win for Adam!! How stupid do you think I am Adam???

I'm sure they dug this pontoon out of dry dock when someone with CONNECTIONS or perhaps a FATTER WALLET came along. One thing I know for sure, I was charged the same amount of money for this old, dirty, antiquated pontoon as I paid a few weeks earlier for the newer #12 Pontoon, which is the boat I had reserved. Adam, who is the owner's son and manager, was extremely rude and arrogant to me, my husband and son. What a way to run a business. Promise you one thing over the
phone and deliver something totally different. We had rented from them 3 times prior to this day but,
WILL NEVER RENT FROM THIS MANIPULATING LIER AGAIN AND WE WILL MAKE SURE WE LET EVERY ONE WE KNOW AND MEET KNOW OF HOW "BAY WATER BOAT RENTALS" RUNS THEIR BUSINESS AND TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS $$$$$$ NOT THE CUSTOMER OR CUSTOMER SERVICE OR LOYALTY. BY THE WAY, WAS THE BONITA SPRINGS FIRE DEPARTMENT NOTIFIED OF THIS FIRE? I wonder? Surely, an upstanding business man such as Adam would have notified them and also their insurance company!!!
