“Capt'n Con's Fish House”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

Stumbled upon this 'off the beaten path' restaurant...so close to water view it feels part of the decor...fried seafood menu for the most part altho surprisingly large menu fm which to choose.
Sometimes the location trumps even the food. very rustic in an upper penisula sort of way. Christmas trees 'repurposed' for valentines day and seashells ornaments..relaxing & clean ..locals not snobbish; but pronounce Bokeelia correctly ! :)

“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

This is a great place for lunch. It has a beautiful view of the water from the front of the building (with outdoor seating too). The food and service are both very good. We visited in December 2012 and stopped for lunch. The menu was diverse enough that everyone was able to order what they wanted. I had the fried clams and they were great. The food and drink prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was very friendly too. Highly recommended!

“Great view and greater seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Here's a place that combines a million dollar view with some inexpensive and tasty eats. It's certainly worth the scenic drive out to Bokeelia where you find this simple, back-to-basics restaurant which is a mainstay for locals. The seafood is fresh and servings plentiful. For lunch, I had a combination basket with shrimp, crab, clams and fries topped off with a bucket-sized glass of ice tea. A dozen or so pies on the menu board looked tempting and the key lime pie and coconut cream pie didn't disappoint, Skipping dinner that evening was easy but I was tempted to make the drive back to Capt.n Con's.

“Best kept secret”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Located on a dead end road this has got to be one of Florida's best kept secrets. We just were out for a drive and ended up in Bokeelia. We decided to go in and grab a soda. However, we ended up having seafood chowder and pie. AMAZING. My MIL had the Chocolate pie and I had the peanut butter. All is handmade. It was the most amazing peanut butter pie I have ever had.

“Awesome Chowder!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

The only way to find this place is to head until you reach the end of the island. It's worth checking out. The place is about average - but hands down the best seafood chowder I've ever tasted!
