“Excellent Hotel”

Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel

Stayed at the Renaissance on a Priceline name your own price rate of 60.00 per night. This hotel is easily worth four times that. I likely got it so cheap as it was the low season for the property...Florida is August is not so desirable I guess.

The hotel has more of a resort feel that a typical Marriot chain. Beautiful pool, luxurious rooms and bedding, And the staff members? Absolutely fantastic. From the bellman to the bartender, the staff is definitely Four Seasons with a Marriot price.

Do not hesitate to book this wonderful Oasis in the heart of Boca Raton.

I had stayed at this hotel for one night about 5 years ago, and the experience was positive so I was not put off by the negative reviews I read. However I was so blown away by the current stay, that I felt impelled to post my experience. I don't remember the hotel seeming tired and rundown before, and if it possibly happened in between my visits, it has definitely been remedied now. Our room was very nice with updated decor including a chaise lounge/fainting couch, we had one of the pool side patio rooms, which had an extra door opening onto a private patio. We will definitely request one of these next time as well. The pool area had a very romantic tropical feel with lots of vegetation and waterfalls. Very nice hot tub location sitting up above the pool and hidden from view. It could use a little more ligthing around the hot tub at night. I loved the fact that the pool was open 24 hours so if you wanted a late night dip you could. The best thing was the staff, every single person was welcoming and friendly. Maybe they all just graduated from a Marriott program, but I have never had a stay where everyone one just went out of their way to make you feel welcome. From the front desk staff, to the bellmen/lady to the pool bar attendant to the restaurant hostess. I did have a little language/communication problem with one waiter, but it was minor. The only meal we ate there was breakfast for 3 days and it was excellent, but I can't tell you about other meals, because we were out and about for those. Location is great, close to shopping, movies etc. Not on the beach, but not too far away if you want to go. I would definitely come here again.

“Best facelift in Boca!”

Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel

This is the second time I have stayed at this property and what a difference a year makes! I liked the first visit just over a year ago. It served its purpose for convenience for the event I was attending. I came back a year later for the same event and was suprised to find a completely different hotel. What a beautiful transformation had occurred. This hotel was more than a convenience this time. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. From the beautiful pool area to the very comfortable room. And oh yes, the new flat screen was nice. They must of renovated the staff because this time they were so friendly and upbeat. They were obviously proud of the new look. They made my stay so nice, I barely left the hotel for the 3 days I was there....didn't need to. Everything I need was there. I highly recommend this hotel. Definitely the best facelift I have seen in Boca!

“Old hotel, needs rennovation”

Baltimore, MD

I stayed here for two nights for business. It's a nice area (businesses in the area, not attractions.) The hotel is old and it shows. The room was nice and it was clean, but could use renovation.

The restaurant (Umbira) had a very limited menu, and called itself
"Mediterranean" but it was not. Food was ok, but nothing simple on the menu. It seems as if they went out of their way to be trendy here.

There are too many other hotels that are either newer or have been renovated in the area for me to stay here again for the price.

“Not bad for a So FL mid-priced hotel”

Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel

Apr 26, 2007

I picked this hotel for location more than anything else, but was pleasantly surprised, given some of the reviews.

First: Location. The hotel is close the huge retirement complex, St Andrews, since I was down to visit family there. It is also close to Town Center Mall, I-95, Mizner, etc. No time for the beach on this trip.

The rooms and lobby where a bit dated, but not much different than most South Florida Hotels. The desk staff was polite. The parking lot was crowded upon arrival, but there was also a prom going on at the hotel (more on that later).

The rooms were fine and met my basic requirements. The bed was clean and comfortable with lots of pillows. The AC had a fan setting, which I like to run all night as "white noise" . The bathroom was small but the shower was good. The room was quiet.

As mentioned before, there was a prom going on Friday night and I was dreading staying there. I almost turned around and walked out in anticipation of late night prom parties in rooms. Actually, we went to late night dinner and bar hopping in WPB, came back after midnight and the hotel was quiet as a church. No signs of the kids anywhere. Hats off to the management!

Very tropical pool area and bar. I would return to this hotel.
